How to Assemble Your Bike

Our easy step-by-step guide to help you assemble your new Decathlon bike.

How to Assemble Your Bike

New Bike Day! Lucky you - you are now a happy owner of a Decathlon bike! You are ready to get rolling, but first, you need to know how to assemble the bike in 3 easy steps.

1. Safety first

Take the time to read the documentation included in your bike box (road bike assembly manual, MTB assembly manual, user guide).

2. Pay special attention to the pedals installation

It is important to identify the right pedal from the left one, and to know that the left pedal is reverse threaded. Follow the instructions below to make sure to not strip your threads.

3. Five minute-assembly

At Decathlon, all of our bikes ordered online are 90% assembled by our workshop pre-delivery, then placed back in their box to be delivered to you. All you need to do is attach the pedals, adjust the tire pressure, and position the handlebars and saddle height to your optimal height and reach. Please note: if you purchase a bike in one of our physical stores, or online with a store pick-up option, our store team will fully adjust and prepare your bike for you.
