Questions & Answers

Question:
What are the saddle and cockpit specs?
Answer:
The Handle Bars and Stem are Deda Zero 2, and Saddle is Fizik Antares or similar.
Question:
Can you add clip on aero bars to the Van Rysel EDR CF 105?
Answer:
Yes - the handle bars are made of aluminium so there is no issue. One of my co-workers that has the same bike uses his EDR for 1/2 Ironmen triathelons.
Question:
Does the bike come with pedals or I will have to purchase them separately?
Answer:
This bike does come with some standard flat pedals to get you started.

Product Customer Reviews
After 700 km of practice, several improvements were necessary for (according to my size 1.80m and 85 kg): - Keep the spine in a neutral position and relieve neck and back pain, by exchanging the original stem for a 100 mm one, - Improve comfort on the saddle, by exchanging the original saddle too hard and not suitable for long distances (3 hours and more), - Lack of fluidity and incessant rattling of the original chain when changing gear, by exchanging a chain of the brand of the transmission to ensure perfect compatibility between the different components, was very beneficial. - Unsightly passage of brake and gear cables and the vibrations of sheaths on the frame are noisy, a fully integrated cable would offer a good compromise. In conclusion, for this PRICE the bike could be equipped with a chain of the brand of the transmission and a more qualitative saddle would not be a luxury. Nevertheless I recommend this bike which offers an excellent compromise. Happy hiking...
I think the initial setting of my bike was not optimal.
Bike with very nice finishes, unbeatable value for money with these different characteristics. I recommend. For the size do not take into account the AI of the site which gives you an incorrect bike size because the bike is very different from the others. I measure 174m and I had to take S whereas I usually take M. Once delivered to the store and CAREFULLY PREPARED by the teams that's where the problems begin. I discover once I get home that the front wheel is not tightened at all and that it moves in all directions while they recommend a tightening of 10Nm. In addition, the fork and its hub are not tightened either, making the front organs... unstable, and could have damaged the carbon prematurely. The problem is the following: no matter the value of your bike, you will have the same service as everyone else at Decathlon, that is to say a minimalist service. A serious security error that is unacceptable on your part and which discredits the VAN RYSEL brand itself. A customer for 10 years at Decathlon, I am stunned to see such a lack of professionalism. Best regards.
Very good for my practice (mountain)
Just great
Great price-performance ratio. You don't need anything more than a cyclist's hobby. Pay attention to the size chart, don't follow the recommendations in it, the fable is quite long and Mko is definitely not for the figure they say. The salesman in the store also gave me bad advice and I bought Mko on his advice. I should have S. I had to shorten everything possible (stem, handlebars, guys) and even then it's not quite ok. You won't know it right away from a short drive around the store, so unfortunately you'll have to rely on the recommendation of the seller, who probably also saw the road fable for the first time in his life.
New to racing bike riding, the racing bike is just fun and for the price it is a really great product. I have been riding it for 3 months and have not found any negative points about it. I also get compliments that it looks good ;)
I am very happy with the bike. It is comfortable. The gears are in a sufficient range for me. Maybe some cyclists would appreciate the possibility of a lighter gear. The brakes 100% do not overheat even during long descents in the heat. Perfect price/performance ratio for me.
I have been using the bike for about 1 month, before that I had a Carraro city bike, before that I had a Prophet brand German origin racing bike, it is so light and has an effective feel that the slopes do not scare me. The drivetrain and gear changes are silent and imperceptible. I am 188 cm tall and weigh 110 kg (I am trying to lose weight, I will lose even more to be able to ride this bike better :) The L size of the bike is sufficient and suitable. I don't even need to talk about the brakes, everything is very good, I am very satisfied. Thank you.
After analyzing many bikes in different stores I came across this model with very interesting geometries. The price-quality ratio and weight are excellent. It's a pretty bike that responds very well on climbs. I recommend
Hello, I've been on the bike for 200 km now and can only say it's great, it does what a racing bike should do, fast and without any frills, the frame and wheels look really high quality and they make sense, what bothers the whole thing is the stem, handlebars, seat post look very cheap, that should be better because it's a shame that the whole thing suffers from the pressure underneath
very beautiful machine aesthetically, and superb responsiveness. It will be perfect with wheels that match its potential.
Excellent price/quality ratio, compared to other brands with the same characteristics. I've been using it since January 2024, in six months I've done 3000km without any problems. It's an ideal bike for long rides, comfortable and reliable, however it doesn't disappoint if you ride at speed in a peloton (in my case as long as it's on flat ground). The only drawback is that it comes equipped with a 28 cassette, which is not good for long and steep climbs, I had to buy and mount a 32.
I've been riding the racing bike since April 20th and have so far ridden around 1500km and around 36000m of elevation with it. I've done everything from passes (Faschina, Hochtannenbergpass, Flexenpass, Bödele, Riedbergpass) to flat tours (Lake Constance tour). First of all, I'd like to say that the first thing I did was swap the semi-compact crank (52/36) for a compact crank (50/34) and replace the 11-28 cassette with an 11-32. I live in Vorarlberg and with our gradients I wouldn't have been able to climb any passes with the standard configuration. You could have gone for an 11-34 cassette, but I wanted to trim everything to be as light as possible. The tires were swapped for Vittoria Corsa Graphen 2.0 and the tubes had to make way for latex tubes. I also rode the Hutchinson and can't say anything negative about it, rock-solid tires. For €2200 you get a damn fast racing bike that is very light for the price. The rims are OK and very stiff for the price. Here's a compliment to Decathlon, other suppliers slap 2kg rims on a carbon bike. The frame is decently stiff without being uncomfortable. It absorbs a lot. Why they didn't replace the seat post with a carbon one is a mystery to me. I can only recommend that everyone buy the carbon seat post from Decathlon, around €45. This gives you a little extra comfort. The brakes were properly adjusted and the handlebar tape was wrapped neatly and accurately. What we didn't like, however, was the incorrectly adjusted front derailleur. Only the employees know why they didn't test this quickly. The chain rubbed against the front derailleur in both the highest and lowest positions. Anyone who knows what they're doing can fix this quickly. It's probably a nuisance for laypeople. My frame had two small scratches, one below the crank and the other on the right strut. Decathlon was financially accommodating here. I was able to remove these with a black metal end. My conclusion: If you mainly ride on flat terrain and occasionally climb a hill, you get a very light racing bike that is stiff, comfortable and fast. If you ride in the mountains, mount an 11-34 cassette (approx. €80) and a new chain (approx. €20) and you get a great device for the mountains without compromising on the price/performance ratio. In any case, go for a size smaller, the frame is quite large. I am 175cm tall and chose size "S". "M" would definitely have been too big for me.
Very satisfied with my purchase
