About this item:
- Comfort temperature when stationary: 28°F. On the move 7°F. We chose a warm lining that has insulation to give you effective prottecopm from the cold.
- Grip with Snowcontact technology: materials and tread pattern of the soles. Optimizes propulsion, prevents the boot from slipping backward when going uphill, and stabilizes the boot.
- Waterproof and breathable membrane for keeping your feet dry.
- Waterproofness test, we test 3 levels of waterproofness: 2000 flexes (about 2.5-mile walk), 4000 flexes (about 5-mile walk), and 8000 flexes (about 10-mile walk). Your boots were tested to 4,000 flexes, which is equivalent to 5 miles of walking.
- TractionThe location and depth of the 4 mm studs provide traction on snow. Prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on the smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, ice) by giving the sole grip.

Product Customer Reviews
Honestly, these boots are HORRIBLE. I put them on once, my feet (my little toes) really hurt. After my walk, I put my hand in the boot. No wonder I was in pain, the seams, the folds can be felt inside the boots! There is no coating between the plastic and the foot. I put them on a second time, this time with slightly bigger socks. My god after an hour of walking I am in so much pain!!! I came home limping. My two little toes are bleeding, because of the friction. I have only worn them twice so. I strongly advise against them, besides I don't understand all these positive reviews! Avoid!
When I received them, they seemed fine. I had taken a size up to be able to wear appropriate socks - they are almost too small when I tried them on, but that's acceptable. Worn them for the first time today... and then, it's a disaster. They are completely unusable: they are so uncomfortable, a thousand times too rigid, the feet don't bend and I have both heels inflamed as well as bruises at the base of my shins! In addition, my feet were frozen when it was only 0°. In short... money wasted on a product that I won't be able to wear and that I will have to replace!! You'd think that the people who think of these products don't use them!
After 5 years of faithful service, a boot also leaked yesterday (Quechua w.winter boot). Immediately ordered a new pair. Today already in the snow. Wonderfully warm and 100% waterproof. Good grip. This is my 3rd pair. Very happy with it.
A useful product that suits its features
I bought it in a store last year. I went on a trip to Shanxi and wore it for a few days. Suddenly one day, one of my feet felt cold. Then I found that the socks were not dry at all. I had to put on a plastic bag and put them on to complete the trip. On the last day, I just abandoned it at the hotel and wore sneakers back home.
Its features are as described. It keeps you warm, does not slip and is waterproof. It fits standard foot size. I hope the price does not increase unnecessarily.
Of quality
Very warm
next snow boots the whole family has them and we love them at an attractive price mega comfortable and cozy
It is a perfect price and performance, sometimes it can even get through extreme heat, it is so good, it is perfect for those with very cold feet.
I've been using it for a few years for heavy snow, walks in the forest, etc. Nothing gets wet. My feet are dry. I recommend it.
okay
For the first time my feet didn't get wet in a winter. I'm comfortable this winter. While other boots only lasted one winter, my size is still brand new. I bought them again, this time for my mother.
Excellent value for money. Very warm price, very waterproof, very durable and flexible. I recommend
A nice warm shoe
Additional Product Information
Composition
Upper of: 75.0% Polyester, 25.0% Polyurethane ; Outer sole of: 100.0% Synthetic Rubber ; Lining and sock of: 100.0% Polyester
Can i be sure that my boots are warm enough for my winter hikes?
We chose a warm lining that has insulation to give you effective protection from the cold. We tested it in the laboratory and in the field with our user representatives. We checked the temperature down to which it stays comfortable when you're stationary and when you're walking, as this varies a lot: -6°C when static and -14°C when moving. We also took into account how temperature is felt differently by men and women.
How do your boots protect you from outdoor conditions?
Your boots are designed with a membrane to guarantee waterproofing and breathability. A membrane is a very fine component (5 to 25 micrometres) affixed to the inside of a fabric that prevents water from entering while allowing moisture to escape.
How can i be sure that my boots are 100% waterproof?
We made sure that your boots are waterproof by conducting laboratory tests to simulate walking with the boots half-submerged in water. We also conducted field tests to measure wear and ageing.
What is the difference between traction and grip?
The boots’ traction depends on the number and shape of the studs. The grip is dependent on the materials of the sole and the tread pattern, like the tyres of your car. Traction optimises propulsion, prevents the boot from slipping backwards when going uphill and stabilises the boot. Grip prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, ice) by giving the sole grip.
Will my boots withstand regular use over the long term?
Our engineers conduct laboratory tests to ensure that the product fully complies with your satisfaction in use. Our verifications include the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated ageing.
How do i choose the right footwear for snow hiking?
To gear up in the winter, we recommend you follow the following principles : Warmth: provide warmth thanks to the warm socks. (ideally with a suitable percentage of wool)Breathability: Choose the sock according to the intensity of the hike and make sure you wear a breathable model to minimise moisture.Boot height: adapt the height of the sock to the height of the upper and preferably choose high models if you want more protection.
How to preserve the technical qualities of my boots?
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. As a result, the fabric does not soak up water & stays light, breathable & warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the the boot. Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.
How to dry the inside of your boot.
In use, the boot can become damp (condensation and perspiration)If the boot is very wet, we advise you to remove the insole, fill the upper with newspaper balls and change them regularly. The paper will pump out moisture and speed up drying.Never place your boots too close to a heat source but leave them in a warm, dry and ventilated place.
Product testing
Our Decathlon Sportslab laboratory, based in Lille, also contributes to the innovation and development of our Quechua products. It brings together 4 themes, each with their own area and technological tools:Body shape (in particular from 3D analysis)Movement scienceThermal comfort (with its four climatic chambers)Behavioural and sensory sciencesIn particular, we test the holding of seams, gluing, toxicology, resistance to UV and abrasion.
