Very good backpack, nice and cheap, it looks like it will last, good waterproof, good for a 1 to 2 day trek, good space.
Great backpack for one-day tours. Enough space and convenient solutions (full-length zipper on the side, large pockets on the side support, side pockets for bottles)
I have had the same one in 30l for several years and I am very happy with it for traveling. I bought this one in 20 liters for day hikes. Design problem it is very narrow on the top. In fact it is high and very narrow. I do not find it at all practical to use. Too bad
Very well designed bag, light and practical
Good carrying comfort.
This bag has an unmatched quality-price ratio on the market. Used for hiking on coastal paths or in the mountains, it allows you to go out for the day while bringing what you need (for my part, I always include a water pocket which fits perfectly in the dedicated compartment). The ventilation is good, the pockets are practical, and the system for attaching walking poles works perfectly. The integrated deployable protection is also very useful!

Just right for a day trip
The backpack is really comfortable, my back and collarbones don't hurt at last. I can even pack for 3 days by attaching a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat to the side straps.
Very comfortable backpack to carry.
Overall, a well-made daypack for one-day hiking, space to pack everything needed for one person. Lots of niceties like side opening of the main compartment, carabiner for car keys, inner zipped wallet, rain cover, two elastic pockets with zips on the hip strap where you can fit your phone, handy pole holder, lots of other clever solutions. The only minus and an asterisk from the defense is for the frayed cord closing the main opening, I didn't notice it when I bought it and didn't try to exchange it for a new one after use. I hope they have spare parts. You have to remember that 20L is a really modest volume, that way you'll have less unnecessary stuff to carry around. In the future, they could make one of the side elastic pockets deeper so that a 0.5L bottle can fit in there safely.
First use and definitely satisfied with the backpack! Usability of every pocket and container! Excellent fixation!

What differences are there with the old mh500 bag?
The back of this new bag has been fully reworked for greater comfort: a tight net with frame gives you more space between your back and the bag to reduce the damp back effect. This net used for the back, called mesh, is also softer than previously. What's more, this new model comes in 2 sizes for small and large sizes. The 2 hip pockets are more spacious and stretchy and access to flask on the sides is easier.
Which size should i choose?
During several field test sessions with hikers of different sizes, we noticed that between 20 and 40 litres, the difference in comfort was mainly down to the back height of the bag. We therefore offer all our models in 2 sizes to meet these requirements. If you are taller than 170 cm, go for size L. If you are shorter than 170 cm, you will be better off with a size S.
Hydration
This bag can hold 1 litre, 2 litre or 3 litre pockets. However, although the pocket is voluminous, it will take up place that could be used for storing other belongings.The side pockets are designed for flasks of maximum 1 litre.
Why are our rain covers orange?
This is a deliberate choice as we believe it's important to stay visible in the mountains, even in fog, in case of any problem. This orange colour has the advantage of being visible from a helicopter. It's also a visible colour on the road if you use your bag when cycling.
Hand luggage
When you are travelling by plane, the authorised hand luggage size is 55x35x25cm3 maximum (warning, this can vary depending on the airline). This bag can be used as hand luggage, so long as you don't load the top too much.
How do i adjust my backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - As this bag is small in volume, put the belt around the waist and tighten it. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
How to pack my backpack?
AT THE BOTTOM of the bag, pack your sleeping material, and heavy material nearer the back. Slide your water pocket into the compartment.AT THE TOP of the bag, store your waterproof jacket and fleece within arm’s reach. In the pockets, you can put your sun cream, maps, cap and sunglasses. Cereal bars or your mobile phone can be stored in the belt pockets for quick access. The straps under the bag can also be used to attach a compact tent.
