good product
A 3-layer jacket with over 20k waterproofing and vents under the arms, for this price you can't beat it. I even wore it for skiing, some of the days when it snowed all day, and not only did it stay waterproof, it also showed no signs of wear from carrying the skis on my shoulder. The fit is relatively snug, so it makes sense to try it on first. An excellent purchase.
This jacket protected me perfectly during a 2-day hike. It is very effective in protecting against wind but also intermittent rain.
The garment fits very snugly, has good aesthetics and functionality, and holds up very well in the rain without making you sweat too much.
This jacket meets all the requirements for a good, compact rain jacket. Very satisfied!

truly an excellent shell adjustable everywhere thanks to the many adjustment cords. large and comfortable pockets. truly high waterproofness. thanks to the 2 armpit zips it also offers excellent breathability/ventilation. if we really evaluate all this overall it makes it a truly excellent product even compared to more prestigious or more acclaimed brands
I bought it because it had better parameters than women's jackets. I usually have a problem with sleeves that are too short, but here it's the opposite, the sleeves are long and the jacket itself is a bit too short for me. The material is quite stiff. It is windproof, with a bit less breathability, but large vents help. After one wash in a special impregnation agent, it does not let water out
First of all, I have this jacket in yellow and I think the jacket is beautiful (I was asked in the street where I bought this jacket :)). It perfectly fulfills its windproof and waterproof role, nothing to report on that side. The only flaw for me compared to other jackets is its weight which makes what you are looking for a super light product, this jacket will not meet your expectations. In my opinion, this jacket is intended for mixed city/hiking and trekking use. For winter activities such as ski touring, I have invested in another Goretex jacket.
After 2 years of use, I can only salute the work of the Decathlon teams! The jacket is still impeccable, of exceptional quality! Unfortunately the price has increased by €10 since my purchase but it remains an unbeatable price compared to the competition.
Good jacket, I was hoping it would be a little more breathable, but apparently that's the price for very solid waterproofing.

Cut
Slim fit with raglan sleeves and good stretch properties for plenty of freedom of movement during your hikes. A warm layer, such as a fleece or light padded jacket, can be worn underneath.

Membrane
The waterproof rating of a product depends on the following two main criteria: its component and its construction. This product was made with a membrane.This is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being flexible, lightweight and breathable.
Layer design
3 layer design: The membrane is glued between the outer and inner fabric. We use it for durable and high-performing jackets
Component waterproofing
Laboratory tests are conducted to guarantee the waterproof rating of a component. To this end, the resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm (JIS 1092 standard).The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This product's component has a 25,000 mm waterproof rating and can withstand the pressure of a 25,000 mm water column. This is also equivalent to 25000 Schmerbers.
Water resistance of the jacket
We conduct laboratory tests that simulate rainfall scenarios in order to guarantee the jacket's waterproof rating. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 18 cm of rain for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain storm.
Breathability
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabricRET ≤ 12: breathable fabricRET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric This product was assessed at 6 RET
How to restore the water-repellent properties
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. The fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat.You can also use the waterproof spray (ref 8554908)
