Question:

I am 5''5 guy and this bike seems to be the only one in budget for me so would it be okay if I buy it? or would it be wise to wait for the S sized RC120 to be back in stock.

Answer:

Unfortunatly this is a model we will not carry forward.

Question:

Hello- I am looking to purchase a road bike as a 5’4” woman. The model ( Triban 100 aluminum)- (5’1” - 5’5”. I am wondering if I would fit a small bike size at 5’4” .

Answer:

Yes a small should fit you correctly. You will of course need to adjust the seat height.

Question:

This bike is listed as womens but sizes listed by Decathlon do not match suggested sizes in product information section which are slightly smaller. Is this bike unisex sizes or womens? I am a 5'7.5 woman and would like to know which size to get. Thanks.

Answer:

You are really between sizes. There are several factors that go into proper sizing. Your inseam and torso legnth are key. If you are built 50/50 you might lean toward the small. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, you might benifit from the medium. ( side note, I am 5'7" and ride a medium)

Question:

I'm a 5'9" guy. Is the main reason this bike is a women's bike and not unisex the bike seat? Any other differences that will make it not a good fit? And as someone who is 5'9" with long legs, should I go with a medium or a large?

Answer:

Correct - not much difference except the seat, I am 5'7" and the medium is a great fit for me. I have slighly longer legs than torso. In your case, I might opt for the Large.

Question:

Hi! I was wondering if there is more size S model restock?

Answer:

Unfortunately not - we will not be replenishing this model.

Question:

Hi! I am 5'8" guy, Is size L okay for me?

Answer:

Yes it should work as the bikes run small.

By Thierry on Feb 28, 2024 | STAFF

Question:

Hi there, Im 6 foot guy 185 pounds - is L ok for me?

Answer:

It is probably fine but they run a touch on the smaller side, so I would consider a slightly diffrent bike as well, such as the RC120 in an XL

Question:

What is the maximum weight of a rider?

Answer:

250lbs.

Great starter road bike

Having no experience of road bikes whatsoever, this has been a wonderful transition from my very heavy electric fold-up to something that feels so light and speedy! The folks at the Surrey Quays store were super helpful getting my saddle the right height and pointing me in the right direction for compatible panniers and mud guards. The ride itself feels really smooth and responsive. The gears are more than enough for me - I can climb hills and get super fast on the flats and slopes. I can also carry this up and down stairs easily, which is sometimes necessary! Really good value for money in my opinion. Can't wait to get out and use this properly for my daily commute!

The best bike

I've been using the bike for 5 years and I only have to adjust the derailleurs and brakes from time to time! The width of the fork allows for a wider tire, so we can have a kind of gravel! The saddle is the most comfortable I've ever ridden, and the tape hasn't broken or worn out in 5 years... additionally, the brakes on the handlebars are often useful!

Bearing to be reviewed

After a 5km ride to fine-tune the settings, my thighs were on fire. I went to the workshop to ask if there was a problem with the rear wheel bearings: the answer was "not abnormal for a budget bike" I have a 50 year old bike that has better bearings. I do not recommend

Good bike but for flat riding

I ordered it because the price is very attractive It is very beautiful and for having tested it it is well made and works well Unless you are a beginner and want to do small hills at 6/7/8% then you will kill your legs with the single chainring or risk disgusting yourself with the bike for those who are beginners. You can't grind there is not enough development.. They should have done the same with 2 chainrings and the bike would have been versatile and perfect

Great starter road bike for women

Incredibly light and agile road bike. The XS size is perfect for me at 5'2" - my only quibble would be that the brakes can be quite hard to reach for small hands. The lightness of the bike and the wheels took some getting used to with manoeuvring, but feels quick and pokey once comfortable.

Unsatisfied

I ordered the bike for my girlfriend over three months ago. Delivery and assembly were straightforward. The bike looks very nice, but there are two things that are really annoying. After just a short time, the bottom bracket started to crack, especially when I pedaled hard. Furthermore, the chain rubs against the derailleur, even though I tried to adjust it as best as I could. In my opinion, the bike does not live up to the asking price, which is why we will be selling this bike again.

Amazing price quality

I would have liked it to be lighter and the wheels thinner but I am still very happy with the product. This bike became my best friend ❤️

Bike for occasional short outings

Heavy bike with only one chainring which really complicates the climbs. Otherwise solid and ideal if you have occasional practice with little difference in altitude.

Good entry-level racing bike

I bought this racing bike in size L in white and black and can only confirm the comment in the description: men will like it too! After about two weeks and about 100 km, I am pretty happy with my first racing bike ever (I have only ridden MTBs up to now). You can build up speed quickly, but at the same time you can brake quickly and safely at higher speeds. So far I think the saddle that comes with it is very good, as is the gear system, although I would like a few more gears on longer straights and especially downhill (disadvantage of the mono chainring in this case). Uphill, however, I have been able to cope well with the gear system, even on gradients of up to 20%. Another small disadvantage is that if you want to adjust the saddle while riding (this can happen quite often, especially at the beginning), you have to carry an Allen key with you. All in all, though, it is a great entry-level racing bike that I can highly recommend! Especially for this price.
