Great jacket for hiking. I wear it with a fleece underneath, it keeps you warm, very comfortable to wear and cuts the wind well.
Comfortable and warm
with the necessary layers underneath it allows me to hold out comfortably on a night hike in the middle of winter, it doesn't get wet and really cuts the wind well

Since I bought it I use it every day both for trekking in the city and in nature. I also find it very comfortable and versatile for travel. I was afraid that the mesh inserts inside would bother me instead they make the garment comfortable. The fabric is slightly elastic, this makes it comfortable even if you wear several layers underneath and the movement is free.
The model has changed since the previous one with the sleeves that included the thumb hole which has disappeared. Otherwise the cut is good.
I bought this jacket for my mother and she finds it warm, and very light, good for rainy or windy weather.

What is softshell?
It is a warm, protective jacket that shields you from the wind and a brief downpour (about 30 minutes) of light rain or snow. The fabric is a combination of three materials: a breathable and windproof micro-porous membrane sandwiched between a water-repellent outer layer and a comfortable, warm fleece inner layer.
Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind makes you feel considerably colder. With an outside temperature of 32°F and 12 mph winds, it will feel like 14°F. InchWindproofInch components counteract the uncomfortable effects of this wind chill. They are highly effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
Breathability
The main fabric used throughout the jacket, except on the sides, features a windproof membrane with a breathability of 1,700 g/m² for 24 hours (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).
Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric allows water to run off its surface without being absorbed. This keeps the fabric from soaking up water, maintaining its lightweight and breathable qualities. The fabric is treated on its outer surface to achieve this property, but it may deteriorate with use. To reactivate the water-repellent property, place the jacket in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 minutes.
