Question:

Which bag size is recommended for a 4 day trip? 50L or 75L

Answer:

For a 5-day hike, you'll want a medium to large backpack, usually between 40 to 80 liters. This size gives you enough room to pack essentials like a tent, sleeping bag, food, extra clothes, and other gear you'll need. It's important to choose a backpack that's water-resistant, especially if you might face bad weather. Look for one with a rain cover or made of waterproof material to keep your stuff dry. Also, if you'll be carrying your backpack for long walks, consider getting one with a built-in hydration system. This makes it easy to drink without taking your water bottle out of your backpack.

Question:

what is the maximum weight the mt100 70l can carry comfortably?

Answer:

Thank you for your inquiry. Our product doesn't have a recommended weight limit due to varying factors. We advise users to consider individual circumstances and usage patterns.

Answer:

Good carrying system

A roomy and solid backpack with a cover and numerous pockets. The capacity is ideal for a few days, it does not seem understated in any way. After tightening all the compression straps on the sides and fastening the flap, the backpack can be reduced from 70 l to about 40-50 l, if you do not need the full capacity at the moment. The easyfit carrying system and adjustment system deserve praise. This is the first backpack in years that I can wear without taking off even after about 6 hours when fully loaded - my shoulders do not hurt. Cons: a handy pocket only on the right side of the hip belt (the left side of the belt is completely unused - pointless) and no compression straps on the back. Sometimes it happens that the backpack has to be stuffed more. It is risky to have the entire content held only by the zipper.

Very very good

An extremely useful product for camping lovers and those who stay for a long time during their trips, you will never regret it.

Comfortable, has many compartments, straps for attaching handy things and a long zipper, thanks to which you can easily access the entire contents like in a suitcase

I bought this backpack for my son's excursions with the scouts. Very roomy backpack, easy access to clothes having a full opening of the zipper. Many roomy and useful pockets, comfortable on the shoulders and very resistant. Excellent purchase

Convenient and Wide

I have been using it for more than a year, when I used a 50 liter bag I could not carry all the items I wanted with me, with this bag I can carry the world on my back. Since it does not have many small compartments, I fill my handbag with small items and put them in my bag, it is more organized that way.

Perfect

excellent backpack at a decidedly economical price for the type of product and volume.

good value for money

Good price for the size. Very comfortable for carrying about 12kg, distributes the weight well on the waist.

The value for money ratio is high, except that if you have to carry it as a backpack for airplane travel, it is not possible to secure it with a padlock and if it is very full, in my opinion, there is a risk that it could open. Overall, a good backpack.

Was very pleased with this pack. Definitely some sweet adjustments, I've never seen on any other, that nearly perfectly conforms to the shape of your back. Fit everything I need aswell as room for more. Quite a bit different than past setups but a refreshing change. No regrets ;)

Easyfit system

Our patented Easyfit system allows you to adjust the back height and strap tension simultaneously by pulling on one single strap (on each side). 1. Put on your bag2. Buckle and tighten the belt3. Pull the handles (from bottom to top) It’s adjusted!

Capacity

70 L volume. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %.

Dying process

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this environmental impact, we have opted for mass pigmentation called Inchdope dye Inch integrating the color pigments from the initial thread manufacture. This process reduces this backpack’s CO2 emissions by 35% compared to the previous model.

How to pack a backpack?

Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.

Why are our rain covers grey when some trekkers want them to be brightly coloured?

The grey color is neutral so uses less dye. We also use a “bi-ton” dyeing process where only one thread in every two is dyed. This dyed yarn is also made from a bulk dyeing process which incorporates the color pigments from the yarn manufacturing phase onwards. Forclaz is committed to improving the environmental impact of its products through these actions.

Complementary accessories

It's important that you are well equipped for your trek to take place in the best conditions.

Product testing

All our backpacks undergo field tests by users who are representative of our target market under similar conditions to those you will encounter. To test, assess and validate products, our mission test connects the product manager responsible for the product design with individuals independent to DECATHLON. This backpack was tested by trekkers for 5 weeks in the Canary Islands, the Pyrenees and the Mont Blanc mountain range.

Store your bag in a dry, ventilated place away from direct light.
