Almost like slippers

Pair chosen with a larger size for greater comfort when walking on any terrain and wearing thick socks. Good flexibility and ankle support.

Disappointment

I've always bought my hiking shoes from Decathlon. These were disappointing. After the second day of hiking, I had pain on the top of my feet, probably due to the lacing system. It's either too tight or not tight enough. I'm going to take them back. It's torture. I can't put them back on without significant pain. I have narrow feet and usually don't have any problems.

Comfort on the feet.

Very good and comfortable for long distances on trails.

after 1 year

I wore these walking shoes to walk my dogs for 1 hour a day, almost every day (except during very hot weather). Extremely comfortable, no problem with waterproofing, grip on the other hand not great, and in terms of longevity I am disappointed! For an already high price, the shoes cracked at the folds on the top... and there in terms of waterproofing it is dead.... too bad 1 year for walking shoes seems little to me

Comfortable, but with details that could be improved

The shoes are very comfortable for walking. After about a year of daily use (both on paved surfaces and mountain trails), the soles were no longer waterproof. What's very annoying is that the eyelets where the laces should go through are too small, so the laces only get caught behind them. I often had to tie them three times because the laces kept coming undone. Even while hiking, they sometimes came loose, which can be very dangerous if this happens right on a steep descent.

Very comfortable to wear. I feel like I'm putting on slippers when I put them on.

always at the meeting

I've been wearing them very often for the past 6 months. They're still perfectly waterproof. I put in my own orthopedic insoles and they're perfect.

A great option

They are everything they promise: super comfortable and waterproof. They are a great choice! I am very happy with my purchase!

Good pair of shoes

Comfortable shoes, they feel like slippers! Usually when you buy new shoes your feet hurt a little, but not here! Wear them with good, slightly high socks.

Mixed

Very happy at first glance. Super comfortable shoes from the start, super waterproof, I loved them! But after a month and a half of regular use, they started to get holes in the folds of the toes... I've had them for 7 months now, and they're good for the trash... they're really, really full of holes, and therefore not waterproof at all. €80 for 7 months of use, including only a month and a half with shoes without holes, that's still quite expensive...

I recommend

+ comfortable + nice + good price

Very light and comfortable

I bought the boot for a trip to Atacama and Salar de Uyuni, the delivery was extremely fast and the boot was worn in the snow, the desert and the flood and was extremely comfortable, no water got in, cleaning was easy. I highly recommend it.

What frequency and intensity of hiking?

We have classified our products in terms of performance and features for 3 levels of hiking:- Occasional: around ten hikes per year, each lasting 3 to 4 hours, covering less than 6 miles with less than 2,300 feet of elevation gain.- Regular: about 20 hikes per year, each lasting 4 to 6 hours, covering 6 to 12 miles, with 2,300 to 4,000 feet of elevation gain.- Intense: more than 20 hikes per year, each lasting over 6 hours, covering more than 12 miles, with 4,000 to 6,500 feet of elevation

Outdoor contact sole

Featuring a high-performance sole crafted with our exclusive rubber blend, developed by our experts for improved grip and durability. The sole’s grip is enhanced using 3D simulations and lab-tested to measure traction on various surfaces and in different conditions. Final validation is done through real-world mountain testing with a panel of testers

Waterproofing test

In the lab, the shoe is submerged in water up to mid-height and flexed by a mechanical arm to simulate walking steps. This test measures how long and how far the boot can go while staying dry. Field tests, including walks in the rain, then confirm the shoe’s waterproof performance.

Extended waterproofing

To keep your feet dry, we recommend using waterproof gaiters or mini-gaiters to protect the tops of your boots and prevent water, pebbles, and sand from entering.Re-waterproof your boots twice a year with a waterproofing spray to restore their original water-repellent qualities and reduce exterior staining.

Product design: our expertise

The Quechua global design center is located in Passy, at the foot of Mont Blanc in Haute-Savoie. This prime location brings together our teams—designers, product managers, engineers—and outdoor sports enthusiasts, creating an inspiring space for developing hiking products and sharing our expertise with you.

Which size should i select?

The most important thing is to try on multiple sizes and styles of boots to find the best fit for you! Consider going up a size to prevent your toes from hitting the toe box on downhill sections, as long as the fit still provides enough support to avoid friction.Tip: keep your toenails trimmed, and before a long descent, check that your laces are snug enough to prevent your foot from sliding forward inside the boot.

How to prevent blisters

Blisters often develop when friction weakens the skin. To help prevent them, we recommend:- Choosing the right shoe size- Wearing appropriate socks- Properly tying and tightening your shoes- Adjusting your laces as needed, especially before a climb or descent- Breaking in your shoes on a short outing before a longer hike.

Which socks?

A waterproof shoe typically offers less breathability than a non-waterproof one. For optimal moisture-wicking and reduced friction, we recommend socks like the MH500, MH520, and MH900, which feature a medium upper.

Optimise the capabilities of your boots: replace your insoles

The original insole in your shoes is designed for a wide range of feet. However, switching to a different insole can offer several benefits:1. Enhanced Support: Some insoles are specifically shaped or reinforced to provide better arch support. 2. Increased Comfort: Many insoles offer additional warmth and cushioning for a more comfortable fit. 3. Extended Lifespan: Replacing the insole each season can help maintain the support and comfort of your shoes. Inch

Product testing

Our hiking shoes are first tested in our Decathlon Sportslab laboratory, based in Lille, which also contributes to the innovation and development of our Quechua products. It brings together several themes, each with their own area and technological tools.
