Beautiful and functional!
protects well from the sun but catches a lot of wind. The hat flies away easily.
I bought it for a long-distance gr132 trail on La Gomera. It worked great against both sun and rain. Thanks to the strings, it stayed on my head even in light winds. Unfortunately, it didn't cope with strong winds, but I don't blame it. After washing in the washing machine, it still has an OK shape, and it was stuffed in pockets, crushed and sweaty. I recommend it and I will continue to use it with pleasure.
Great, the only downside is that I would have liked the anti-theft device to be removed before it was delivered to me. I don't know how I'm going to remove it... maybe I'll come on Monday during the day... but the purpose of the delivery was to avoid me having to go to the store.

Very practical hat for hiking. It is light, folds easily to fit in the pocket, can stay around the neck thanks to the cord, it protects effectively from the sun and with its large brim no need for sunglasses. It washes very well with the rest of the laundry and dries quickly. The best!
My 6 year old daughter is delighted. It works well on the beach and in the pool. It stays on my head well.

Very practical, can be folded to put in a bag. Refreshing pale green color! Holds well on the head and can tighten the cord when it's windy. The brim prevents sunburn on the ears and protects the eyes.

What criteria must a cap meet in order to qualify as ”uv-protective”?
UV protection standards for hats are very specific: The fabric must of course be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50), but this is not enough to claim the finished product is anti-UV. The hat must also have a wide brim and flap which fully protects the face and the back of the neck. The Trek 500 hat meets these requirements so you can go hiking with complete peace of mind: you are perfectly protected!
Why is polyamide “more resistant”?
Polyamide offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance. Moreover, microorganisms and mould don’t trouble the synthetic fibre!
How do you measure a fabric's quick drying capacity?
The product is machine washed 3 times then line dried, then we immerse it in water and measure how long it takes to get back to its pre-wash weight.This hat scored an impressive 5 out of 5 stars, returning to its pre-washed weight in less than 80 minutes!
