The bike arrived with very little assembly needed, I had it ready in less than an hour. Slight damage to the handle bar tape on the right side. I've only ridden the bike a couple of times but so far it's great.

Bike is good but …

The bike itself is good. The gears and brakes work perfectly. It's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, they probably saved money on the tires, or they chose the wrong ones, because I've had two flat tires on two rides. And, shockingly, on gravel! You'd think that a bike that's sold as a gravel bike would have more robust tires. Of course, that reduces the fun of riding considerably if you're always worried about getting a flat tire.

A real Swiss army knife this gravel

What a joy, equally comfortable on technical paths but also on rolling roads. After several months of use, I chose to upgrade the wheels (Mavic Crossride) a good choice

an excellent bike easy to improve

I am only making this return after 1 1/2 years and more than 7000 km done on velotaf and grvl, at this time I do not report any breakage and the bike is solid! I customized it a little with a CF canyon seat post, a Berthoud leather saddle, a grvl aero carbon aliexpress handlebars and a luggage rack and some Ortlieb accessories, Crankbro' car pedals... I recently changed the most what excellent Hutchinson Touareg tires for René Herse, still on the original rims which, let's face it, are not great and deserve to be replaced, next purchase on a good pair of second-hand 650b! On the group side, RAS, but I maintain it a lot with lubrication, adjustments, frequent cleanings, I will not wait long to change my chain which is a little tired, but apart from that the machine runs well and lives in the 06 on grvl he suffers as much as a mountain bike! The brakes are a criticism that I have often seen passed, certainly, they are mechanical and I recently changed the pads which are really not expensive and do not wear out any faster than others, but these brakes do the job. job and are far from being bad... You just have to consider them for what they are and not look for the bite of a Hope or the performance of a high-end hydraulic, on the other hand for those who would like bikepacking abroad and over long distances, cable braking is a little extra that is very easy to repair! Don't think that I'm giving a testimony of complacency, I have nothing to gain, I'm not a pro and don't work for Décath, don't think either that I've never ridden a real gravl, because I ride daily many other bikes of all types and whose names I will not mention, but know that compared to much more expensive products this bike will allow you to really have fun! Of course, don't look for the performance of a carbon sports gravel or the comfort of a titanium, but these details are often only perceptible to a handful of informed cyclists capable of making a real difference! This product is, in my humble amateur opinion, a success, both in terms of its value for money, its look and its modularity... Do you find it too heavy? Ride regularly, have fun on nice outings, eat properly, you will lose the little kg which will allow you to forget the few hundred grams which separate this gravel from other slightly lighter bikes, hahaha... Sportingly; -) Manu

Yes, but...

I've been using my gravel for 8 months. And this Sunday the SRAM rear derailleur gave up the ghost. I have been cycling regularly for quite a few years and I have never broken a derailleur, although I have shown them. I am therefore perplexed about the reliability over time of this component. Decathlon's after-sales service took care of the replacement under warranty.

derailleur, tires!

I bought this bike last year, I was happy with it, until the derailleur started acting up, very complicated to adjust, I tightened the cable, I relaxed it, the gears go badly, either they go up more or the opposite in short it's a real hassle to sort out. I'm really disappointed with this bike, every time I ride the derailleur goes out of adjustment. I'm going to sell it because I don't use it anymore, fed up with the hassle. This derailleur is not level! As for the tires, they are of poor quality, I kept getting flats, I had to change tires. In short, I am very disappointed with my purchase.

Good bike but...

The context: I do a lot of AM/Enduro mountain biking (with a rather "high" range bike), after having done quite a bit of XC (with a "mid" range bike) and a little road (with a > 30 years old). I was looking for a bike for "useful" trips (velotaf, small errands -> panniers), family outings (-> baby carrier), a few big day trips (100 to 250km) and short trips (2/3 days -> saddlebag attachments) and which allows you not to be (too) limited in the choice of paths while remaining rolling (-> gravel). And since he often stays alone outside, it was necessary to have a reasonable price. The first impressions will confirm (after some adjustments) that the bike fits well into the targeted program: - Low price - A playful bike on singles (size M for 1m80) - The bike remains relatively rolling - The transmission remains sufficient for riding on terrain damaged - A high-performance group (no complaints about the speeds or braking) - Small minus on the wheels, not very dynamic (in this price range, difficult to do better?) - For my use, I preferred to quickly change the front tire (the Hutchinson TOUAREG is great at the rear but stalls quickly in mud/sand). After a little over a year (a little less than 5000km), the feeling is a little more mixed; - Two rear hubs passed through after-sales service (not great for long outings/short trips) - Crackling in the headset (appeared quickly < 1000km) - A broken spoke (at the spoke head, hub side) It spoils the fun a little but it's still a very good bike for the price. A slightly more reliable hub (or even a pair of wheels) and a more quality bearing would have made this bike a faultless bike for what I was looking for. I would recommend it but with a change of wheels in mind.

awesome

Super awesome

Above average price-quality ratio. The original group is very smooth and versatile for different types of terrain. The tires guarantee greater comfort compared to other models I've tried.

Great bike for trips

If you want to have a position similar to that of a road bike, but at the same time you also ride dirt roads, on gravel or other different unpaved roads and you want to go as fast as possible - this gravel bike is a top choice. Great for trips, despite the fact that it is a single gear, I had no problem pedaling on it to Velká Javorina :) (well, except for my fitness). What I must point out is that after about 800 km driven, one gear sometimes does not want to jump right away - it takes about 5-6 seconds until it catches a tooth on the sprocket - which is quite natural if you put bombs on it, by changing the chain it should be right now. IF NOT - after buying this bike, decathlon offers one free inspection (within the warranty) where you come and they put it together. Conclusion : A great bunch. I don't regret anything.

Great bike for Brdy and surroundings.

Comfortable geometry, as if the bike was designed for me (size M, I'm 176cm). The set-up attracts me more than I expected to the hills and off the asphalt. I don't miss any gear there either, wider tires on smaller wheels work surprisingly well. (And the nice feeling of driving with rams, I'm back in my childhood on Favorita :-) )

Nice bike, but...

I bought a Triban GRVL520 bike two months ago. I started having problems with the rear wheel hub, the drum is jammed. Now I can't order a hub with the same parameters 135x9 28H anywhere. It's a big problem that there is no support for spare parts.
