Good warmth retention

Very good product, especially…

Very good product, particularly light and compact. Seems solid and suitable for the intended range of use. Rather narrow.

a happy customer

I stopped guarded camping and I go bivouacking. I bought this item and I don't regret it, I feel happy and safe there, even in cold weather. I recommend it

It worked very well during the expedition.

It worked very well during the trip to Norway. We slept several times in the mountains where the temperature was around 0 and it was super warm. It takes up a bit of space but is warm

I recommend

It is difficult to find a cheaper and much lighter sleeping bag with the same temperature parameters.

Very compact and warm

Great sleeping bag, very warm and compact when folded, thanks to the 3 straps in its support.

Very nice

Compact and lightweight Not used yet but does the job in my opinion. If you are almost at the max of a size, take the one above. It is limited size or slightly small

very hot

very warm, but a little tight..

Great lightweight sleeping bag.

Great lightweight sleeping bag, packs down very small, have used in both Scotland and Wales and its kept me warm throughout.

max

I used it at -8 degrees with a sleeping bag sheet, this sleeping bag is great value for money... it's science fiction, unfortunately you have to know how to use sleeping bags and be able to heat the air inside, the sleeping bag doesn't warm us up, its job is to retain the air that we exude from our body, excellent product

An excellent first sleeping bag for bivouacs

Perfect for beginners in bivouacking: this down bag is warm, comfortable and compact enough to set off on an adventure without breaking the bank. A reliable and reassuring choice for those who are beginning the experience of trekking in the great outdoors.

Sleeping bag

GOOD

Works well, good size

The size fits me very well, I'm 1.70m tall and the M size is perfect. I tried the sleeping bag on the Australian road in December, the cold is not as extreme as at other times of the year, but it keeps you warm, but for slightly colder nights I recommend using a thermal liner and there is plenty of heat. It is VERY compact, when you take it out of the compression bag you have to let it air out a bit so it regains volume. For the price and qualities it is a good product, it would be great to see a similar product in the future in terms of characteristics (weight and volume) in synthetic.

What is the temperature rating?

All our sleeping bags display the temperature ratings, tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX), in accordance with the European standard NF ISO 23537 - 1:2022. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this criterion.

What is the temperature rating (lower limit at which you feel comfortable)?

The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person curled up in the sleeping bag is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (determined for a man in normal conditions of use).We recommend using an insulation mattress to optimise your thermal comfort.

An important clarification concerning the iso 23537-1 standard

In the context of this standard, the measurement protocol of a sleeping bag’s thermal protection uses a mattress with thermal resistance equal to an R-value of 4.8.This means that by using a less insulating mattress, the thermal performance of your sleeping bag will be lower. We therefore recommend you use an insulating mattress to optimise your thermal comfort.

Some advice to consider before you get into your bag

Dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough). Warm-up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand/feet warmers, rubdowns, etc. A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there's no chance of it accidentally opening!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but don't make any movements that cause cold draughts.Use a bag liner to optimise warmth and avoid washing your sleeping bag too frequently.

Style

The mummy shape optimises thermal insulation (no loss of heat because there is not much air flow or draughts) and saves space, which means that your movements are restricted.Width at the shoulders 28.3 Inch (72 cm), height at the feet 10.2 Inch (26 cm) in size L.

Anatomical hood with good coverage and drawstring adjustment.A baffle along the zip prevents heat loss.Double-slider zips for optimal ventilation.Brick baffle construction to reduce thermal bridges.

The advantages of a duck down and feather filling

The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack- Ultra-compressible.

How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?

The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to Inchtrap Inch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this sleeping bag with its 90% down / 10% feathers filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (international IDFB standard).

Storage instructions

To maintain its fill power, which is necessary for its insulation properties, store your sleeping bag by stuffing it in the mesh bag provided, feet first. Can be stored flat.
