The decathlon description corresponds perfectly to the use I made of it on a snowshoeing trip. Warmth, perspiration evacuation, everything is perfect.
An essential quality product to face the winter

A decent product for the money
Super temperature regulating. Ideal for ski holidays or MTB or bike rides in the winter. Feels very soft
I expected it to be thicker, especially for the price. Otherwise it's fine, it does its job.
I used it as a base layer on a ski weekend. Super comfortable, not scratchy, it's a little longer and ends at crotch level, so it can be tucked into your underwear perfectly. It doesn't cut into your neck either. At 1.80m and 82kg, size L fit perfectly, close to the body but not super tight. No odor after 2 days and dries quickly. I would buy it again

We only use wool from merino sheep bred on farms in South Africa that do not practise mulesing. We decided to build a partnership with a group of breeders (Konsortium Merino) to guarantee respect for animal welfare.This means we have full traceability, which allows us to guarantee the origin of the wool. Odour control
The component limits perspiration odours. This Merino wool t-shirt can therefore be worn several days in a row and means you can take less clothes when trekking making for a lighter backpack!
Reduction of the freezing effect
When you make a physical effort and sweat heavily, the merino wool easily traps the insulating warm air and can absorb up to 35% of its weight in moisture without making you feel damp, which is appreciable in cool weather. In hot, dry weather, the evaporation of the water in the wool absorbs energy, which cools the body slightly at the same time. Conversely, a synthetic material lets the body temperature go back down again faster.
Tip before use
For a softer feel, wash your t-shirt before first use.
How to wash your t-shirt made with merino wool?
We recommend that you machine wash your MT500 MERINO wool T-shirt at 30°C on a normal cycle, preferably with liquid detergent. Dry flat and NEVER tumble dry unless you want it to shrink by one or two sizes!
Product testing
We've tested the material in a climate-controlled chamber in order to determine its performance level. The results highlighted the heat-regulation properties of wool. Indeed, after making a physical effort and sweating a lot, wool helps to maintain a consistent body temperature while synthetic fabrics cool down faster. The unpleasant cooling or freezing effect is therefore reduced by the merino wool.
