Questions & Answers

Question:

How’s it compared to “shake dry “ from Gorewear? Quality of zipper? Are the wrist bands Velcro? Does it have pockets in back? Will it fit in a jersey pocket? Thanks

Answer:

It is a lightweigh, wind and water resisitant garment. Very good quality, no velocro on the wrist. 1 pocket in the back, and will easily fit in a jersey pocket.

Tested under a light rain that became a big storm, I was able to see that the breathability is not good, lacks ventilation. And I was able to see the limit of the waterproofing, the latter arrives at a time that is no longer very serious because you are already wet by the interior condensation. However, it still protects well and despite the heavy rain at the start of the outing I was able to finish comfortably. Big negative point is the color, in the rain in black is not playing it safe, please make flashy colors

Not waterproof

First time trying this jacket in light rain while cycling. Extremely disappointed. This jacket is not waterproof at all.

Very light and waterproof.

Correct Lack of breathability Nice fit

Good product

Good product, light and easy to store in the back pockets for an outing with risky weather. The feeling of wetness is felt on the other hand because the equipment is very thin but apart from that it seems resistant.

Protection for light rain…

Protection for light rain as always with this type of product, breathability is overlooked, it quickly becomes a sauna!

The garment fits really poorly, it is too thick and once stored it takes up a lot of space compared to other "competitor" capes. Furthermore, when I wear it, it gives me an unpleasant sensation of "plastic" stuck to the skin, perhaps due to its very poor breathability.

Composition

Membrane: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide

Product waterproofing

Waterproofing is a fabric's ability to prevent rain water from passing through. A fabric's waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to the pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (test based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Material with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm resists the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour rain shower). Our Ultralight jacket is waterproof up to 2000 mm.

Breathability

To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance (test based on standard ISO 11092). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric will let water vapor produced by the body escape, and therefore the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable materialThe RET of our Ultralight showerproof jacket is 6.

Product tests

Our team of product designers is based at the B'Twin Village in Lille (France). All year round, we conceive and develop new products that are easy to use, look great, and have the technical features needed for your cycling experiences. They are then mercilessly put to the test by users in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting our products to real-world conditions, such as the ones you will experience on your bike, can we continuously improve them.

Care tips

Hand wash only. Turn the article inside out. Use a minimal amount of laundry detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Line dry in a warm, ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
