down jacket conforms, compact, light and quite warm
Great jacket, very warm, I recommend.
at the first wash (30 degrees, hand wash, gentle) it "spoiled": the fluff gathered into compact pieces, no longer insulates at all, looks horrible (wrinkled, uneven, worn)
great
Light and compact
Very light and elegant!
Good density/capacity. Perfect for starting out on a hike or stopping at temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius and packing back into your backpack. For cooler temperatures, you'll need another layer or a denser down jacket.
Practical, takes up little space
After having one, I bought a gift for it, it keeps you warm enough to wear as a shirt sleeve. Very cool
Beautiful jacket, comfortable and light. happy with everything. I've been wearing it for six months now and it's like new!!!
very good down jacket, very warm, but it gets wet, I don't use it when it rains
An easily packable, warm jacket that fits in a small space!
Super light and very compact
It insulates quite a bit from the cold and weighs nothing.
Good Product
Filling: 90.0% Grey Duck Down, 10.0% Grey Duck Feather ; Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyamide ; Padding - Inner fabric: 100.0% Polyester
This down jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F (-5°C), during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3 mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is 41°F (5°C) in this case.
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Summary: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°C, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some Decathlon workshops offer an in-store repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.
