Fabric a little too fragile
The jacket is very warm, light and easy to compress to small sizes, so you can easily pack it into a backpack. I recommend it
Super comfortable and warm
Jacket bought after returning the blue version, which failed after the first wash. Mega plus for Decathlon for the hassle-free return - quick action, no fuss. More than a year has passed since then and this down jacket still looks and works like new. It is warm, light, well-tailored, you don't look like you're in an inflatable balloon. The hood fits well, the pockets are roomy, the zipper is solid - everything you need for winter conditions. The only thing missing is an inside pocket, but apart from that? For this price it's an absolute hit. I use it every day and for trips - and honestly, I see no reason to buy something more expensive. Verdict: If you're looking for a winter jacket that does the job and doesn't fall apart - get it. You won't regret it.
Good garment for the mountains
After the first wash (instructions followed), the feathers clumped together and the down jacket became unusable.

Unfortunately, the jacket falls apart by itself. At the seams, all the joints. There are cracks in the material everywhere and the down is falling out. It is glued with patches. The problem started around 2 years of use (not intensive, unfortunately). In the store in Bydgoszcz, I was told that it is categorically not covered by the warranty because 2 years have passed since the purchase. It's a pity, I expected that the product at this price would last longer than 2 years, and in addition, at this price I expected better quality. It is clear that the accountants designed the durability for 2 years. It's a pity.
Good, inexpensive and very warm jacket
Super warm when cold. When it's warmer, you still feel thermal comfort, you're not overheated. Very slightly waterproof, but it's not a raincoat.
Very practical light jacket. Great for trips and as an emergency backpack for evening returns.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 14°F (-10°C) during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3 mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. Its comfort temperature is 0°C in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.

How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A snag? how to repair your fleece
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. We have repair patches that you can purchase!
Product testing
4 independent Forclaz trekkers and 4 members of Forclaz tested this down jacket during 3 days of trekking in November 2021 up to 9842 ft. altitude near Chamonix in the Mont Blanc Country. The feedback given to us after this test let us validate this down jacket for mountain trekking.
