How would this jacket be for golf Forclaz Men's 3-in-1 Waterproof Travel Backpacking Jacket or do you suggest a different jacket?
Answer:
It depends on the weather you are playing in. This is a very warm jacket so I would only recommend it for golf if you are playing in cold and rainy conditions. Our MH900 Lightweight Windproof Jacket is a light windbreaker that would work well if it isn't super cold, or any of our lighter fleeces.

In a 30 minute rain shower, the water starts to seep through and I regret that below 5 degrees we start to feel cold. Possible improvement: hood pocket, drawstring at the waist to prevent cold air from rising.

Jacket bought on sale for €99 with a view to a "ski touring" trip for which you have to plan to fight the rain and the cold. And I confirm that the set keeps you warm, including at altitude, and fights the rain and snow perfectly. I am 1.84m and 80 kilos, I took L to be comfortable. In electric blue it is very pretty and in spring I think I will be able to alternate between the down jacket and the rain jacket depending on the weather.
Satisfied with this purchase with a small downside concerning the removable lining: the wrist fasteners systematically come undone when you take off the jacket. Otherwise it's a very good purchase.

When the double layer is used together, the movement ability is slightly restricted and the inner layer connection points are weak. It can open when separated from each other. Its external rain and wind permeability is satisfactory.
I have been using it for 6 years and it accompanies me on all my trips and during the winter. After so many years I can confirm that it is an excellent jacket but with some defects: - the main zip, now defective, is not repairable. I have been to several Decathlon stores, but there is nothing to be done. Honestly, it is something that leaves me very disappointed for a product that is still on the list at the modest price of € 130 - the waterproofing is not excellent, even if I repeated the DWR treatment, now it seems that the jacket absorbs the rain. It still keeps me dry, but the water does not slide off as before. - the side pockets have a design defect: in the presence of excessive frontal wind, they tend to act as a "sail" letting cold air enter on the sides (tested in Iceland)
3 in 1 super warm
I am extremely disappointed with my jacket. After only 3 months of use, it already has holes in the sleeves, which is unacceptable for a €130 product. The store treated me poorly and didn't try to help me at all. The manager tried to justify this as normal wear and tear, but I find that premature for a jacket of this quality. The price really doesn't match the durability of the product. I absolutely do not recommend it.
I wear it all the time from autumn to spring. I often use the inner part as a light jacket. If it rains or the wind is unpleasant, I put on the upper part. I recommend it for nature and the city.
The price is high, but this jacket is of good quality.
It's all in the title, the down jacket is warm and comfortable to wear, the cut is perfect, the windproof set does the job perfectly, maintaining heat, waterproof. Use this winter while working outdoors, I recommend.
The jacket works great in both rain and strong wind. It could be a little lighter, but otherwise OK. The price-quality ratio is great.

3-in-1 concept for adapting to every situation
With its “3-in-1” system, the jacket is ideal for cold conditions (down to -10°C) as well as hot weather trips, as you can leave the inner layer at home, taking only the rain coat. You can also wear the inner fleece on its own as a mid-layer over a T-shirt. With just one jacket, you therefore get 3 options!
Sizing information
Standard cut. Inner volume lets you wear a second technical layer underneath, such as a microfleece top.
Adjustment
The hood is adjustable in height and depth thanks to an elastic drawcord. The storm-type hood is very enveloping and equipped with a preformed visor for maximum face protection.The bottom of the jacket is adjustable thanks to an elastic cord.The cuffs are adjustable using the rip-tabs.
Pocket system
2 hand pockets + 2 chest pockets. All pockets feature waterproof zips.2 zipped pockets on the inner jacket.
Removable padded jacket
The inner padded jacket is easy and quick to remove, thanks to a zip system. It can be worn alone and has 2 hand pockets, as well as a secure inside pocket.
