Product Customer Reviews
Superb bike, super well equipped and at an unbeatable price. Very happy with my purchase after 1 season of riding including the Roc d'Azur. A great fork that handles well and a super light bike. The only downside is the Decathlon after-sales service, it's difficult to find someone efficient and competent
Very good frame and equipment for this price. Only the brakes are not at the level required for this price range. I mounted a SID fork, XT brakes and a TDS AXS and here is this mountain bike at the top! Now at the end of the series at this price it is really interesting!
after a year of use here is my feeling: 3000 km mainly on fairly smooth tracks and rough singles: the most shocking, the delivery of the bike, I had the impression of buying a kg of potato, no explanations, I almost disturbed by asking for a key to adjust my saddle I left with it, but anyway I expected it and being an old cyclist I only needed the bike. On the paths, big surprise by having to have a lumberjack's grip to stop the machine! obviously I'm not the only one, on my old bike I was equipped with "shimano" ordered on a Chinese site for 20 euros (!!) and they were much more efficient!!!, on hills the performance is not great, I have to overinflate the shock absorber to not pump! It solves the problem but suddenly it is less comfortable, not very practical the adjustment of its relaxation where you are obliged to use a tool where other models have a very practical wheel. Here are the negative points, let's move on to the positive; a very nice look, a very efficient fork, a geometry that is adapted to me I feel much less fatigue on 100 km outings, a very efficient behavior on rough descents, very lively it responds well to the placement in curves. In short it remains an excellent quality price ratio with some slightly surprising imperfections (eg: braking)
It's been 6 months since I bought it at a great price. Very powerful, light and responsive. I dose all my friends on the climbs. The electric derailleur is great. I have two complaints. First of all, the brakes are too soft, we would have hoped for more precise brakes for this high-end bike. It may be missing a small chainring at the back to go faster on the flat.
Unfortunately, we are unable to upgrade the bike with the new Sram system because the frame is incompatible. The brakes, which are criticized so much, are completely sufficient for XC racing.
Very good value for money bike, you won't find better on the market in terms of equipment price, the frame needs to be reviewed because the feet and calves are affected.
The bike is really great (of course this one is better Product code: 8871501 - but I didn't get the promo and it sold out), but it has one weak point, namely the Sram LevelT brakes, they are weak and have poor sensitivity - in short, they are retarders, not brakes. I rode down the Żar mountain downhill route (I know it's not a bike for gravity cycling, but it was a FAMILY route) and halfway through the route my hands had enough, and braking control was poor from the start. Similarly, on the Beskid Mały trails, on steep, rocky descents, these brakes are not up to the task (180cm 80kg), The rest of the bike without major reservations.
Great bike, very happy with the performance, one problem, the bike creaks and cracks, I've done more than 1100 km
Great XC mountain bike at this price point.
Great mountain bike for a great price/quality ratio! You can go for it, you won't be disappointed!
I just switched from the XC 100 (used for 3 years) to this Race 900S. My world has changed to full suspension and I am very happy with my purchase. The bike is very responsive, I really like the AXS gear change. Lighter than my previous bike. As everything is carbon, Decathlon in Arlon advised me to protect the wheels with foam: Vittoria Air-Liner Light anti-perforation protection. Which they installed well with a good Tubeless setup. I had to add the K-Edge Garmin Gravity Cap, because I was used to the original mounting on the XC 100 of a Garmin socket. This protects the Garmin better during falls. This is a bike to recommend. I will use it a lot for my races and outings on varied terrain in Kenya.
After a year of using this bike (training, competition) I can finally give a precise opinion. The quality-price ratio with all the components is great, the AXS is much superior and precise than the mechanical. The only drawback for me would be the brakes, which already take play from the first months and do not have the expected power. The second and last small downside would be the lock control, which is not very optimized (I think), I recommend you to change it for a rockshox onelock. Overall, it's a great bike, responsive, playful and with great performance and comfort! I recommend it without hesitation
Great bike for a great price. Worse brakes, replaced with Shimano. Comfortable suspension, great off-road, on roads I brake both shock absorbers and it's great. You won't find better for the money.
Absolutely easy and efficient cycling 👍
I love this bike. At the same time, you get a top product at an acceptable price... Of course, the large discount made me choose this... And I'm glad I trusted it.
