great backpack

works well for climbing and trekking. light and comfortable

Poor quality material

Compared to the previous model, the fabric is worse; it falls apart at the slightest touch and is also less water-resistant. The shoulders suffer greatly from the weight.

lightweight, practical and comfortable backpack. Also recommended for the grandes courses of mountaineering! The only flaw: it lacks a zipper that allows you to easily reach the things placed on the bottom, but on the other hand it is a backpack that avoids any superfluous weight, without sacrificing sturdiness.

Best bag on the market!

I've used a multitude of mountain bags over the past 20 years, including some very expensive ones from prestigious brands... Well, it's clear that the best is the Simond: simple, rustic, light, inexpensive, comfortable to wear: the best! For the price of a bag from a Haute Savoie brand, I have three Simonds; enough to see me through a few years of mountaineering 😉

Very interesting capacity for…

Very interesting capacity for a 2-day GV outing! A little expensive for Decathlon but the quality seems to be there!

Great bag for the Alps

Lightweight and minimalist bag, but allows you to carry what you need for any day or two-day mountaineering trip. Easily attaches ice axes and rope. No opinion on using it with skis. The only criticism is the bag's opening and closing system. I had to call customer service for an exchange. The cord had come loose at the heat-shrink tubing. Any weaknesses? A little extra: the reflective Simond logo on the bag. At night with headlamps, it looks great!

Zip broken in a few months

Hello, I was given the bag last year, light and practical, however from the beginning the interior fabric had a tendency to get stuck in the side zipper... What ended up happening happened, the zipper broke from getting stuck in the fabric... Not to mention the bottom of the bag which started to tear after a few months... I asked the workshop service to take a look and they told me there was nothing they could do. The warranty requires proof of purchase which I am unable to provide since the bag was given to me. I find myself with a €70 bag which is almost no longer usable after a few months... I do not recommend this bag at all!

An outing, a bag?

I just bought this bag, I regularly go ski mountaineering. In the spring you have to carry your skis... it didn't take more than an hour of carrying for the bag to tear in the middle with the friction. Not to mention that the chest straps don't hold and come undone on their own. I'm a regular customer of the SIMOND brand which usually makes good alpine gear. Today I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of this bag. There's no point in making a light bag with ski racks if the bag isn't durable... I strongly advise against buying this bag for those who go alpine skiing.

A great all-purpose bag

A remarkable bag for its weight and versatility. Used even for 4-day ski touring trips. It's actually quite sturdy, having been used intensively for 4 years. We now have 3 :-)

Incomplete

I haven't tried it yet, I just bought it. Too bad it's missing the strap at the bottom under the ice axe holder. It looked practical for skis... The volume of the bag is impressive. I bought it to take a paraglider mountaineering and it seems to be the right volume.

Didn't last a single season

The bottom of the bag you put it on when you take it off is made of the same unqualifiedly weak material as the rest of it. The blue strap that holds the pickaxe beaks is torn. The chest strap comes off because the plastic tab is smaller than the daisy chain stitching on the shoulder straps. The snap on the opening tab is broken.

Excellent UL trekking bag, ice climbing and travel

If you are an experienced ul traveler and have compatible equipment, this bag can hold up 12 kg comfortably, the transeparancy in daylight is an awesome feature. 3 seasons Trekable if cleverly used. Also great for a day of multipitch climb/ice climbing! Has all the necessary feature without failure points. Strong and light, has loops for upgrading with drawstring/smart elastic nets. Best value for money. Only thing it lacks is another entrance but the top. Does compensate with truly ul weight fighting the biggest names on industry. A well kept secret (:

Chest strap needs review??

Hello, I bought this lightweight backpack for ice climbing. I just used it for six days straight and on a multi-pitch route. The bag is really lightweight. That's the goal. On the other hand, the fabric is fragile, transparent, and not very waterproof. The bottom is also fragile. But at this weight, it's almost "normal." However, the chest strap comes undone during the approach, which isn't a big deal. But it also comes undone while climbing, then the shoulder straps move, and that becomes a big problem. The chest strap is height-adjustable but comes undone on its own. A flaw in my bag? On all bags. I'm giving it one star because the bag is unusable on a multi-pitch route and is only good for a picnic?
