Bad construction

The padding shifts in the elbow area and the insulation in the arms is completely lost. The front zipper lacks a double reel, and the overlap is swollen and does not fulfill its function. There are no ventilation zippers under the armpits either. It does not keep you warm enough despite being very inflated. It is like going inside a balloon, literally.

Bad quality-price ratio

The jacket has some design flaws. The padding shifts in the elbow areas and you feel cold on your arms. It also lacks a double reel for the front zipper and also does not have side ventilation zippers under the armpits.

good jacket for winter

I love it

disappointed

If you tighten the elastic at the waist, the zipper becomes difficult... really poorly designed.

Down jacket mt 900

Very happy great product to stay warm

Poor manufacturing

Large size. Upon purchase, the down from one of the jacket's chambers had already accumulated in the bottom, making the insulation non-existent. For the price, I expected a different quality of manufacture. I recommend choosing down jackets with numerous and small chambers (see Forclaz MT 500 down jacket), which will avoid this problem of down packing. I will therefore return this product

Men's trekking down jacket Forclaz MT900 - 2

I have this jacket for a short time and I am happy with it, I tried it once and it kept me warm, it is suitable for thermal clothing and a thicker sweatshirt, and one more thing, the length is nice because it covers the buttocks and kidneys after pulling them down, which makes them warm in these places. We will see how the winter will work, but for now they are only + and the choice of color

Very warm, worth the price.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Filling: 85.0% Grey Duck Down, 15.0% Grey Duck Feather ; Lining: 100.0% Polyamide ; Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide ; Yoke: 100.0% Polyester ; Pocket: 74.0% Polyester, 26.0% Elastane

How did we improve the thermal insulation of this down jacket?

We’ve used H-compartmented technology to prevent thermal bridges forming between the outer and inner components. In addition, this down jacket has several insulating chambers strategically placed in areas likely to have air penetration: - The neck- The top of the hood- The front zip- The wrists- The hips

What is the advantage of the h-seams?

This padded jacket has partitioning between the inner and outer fabric. This creates a space filled with down that prevents the formation of thermal bridges.

How have we increased the lifespan of this down jacket?

This padded jacket has inserts made of more durable fabric on the wrists, shoulders and hood. The fabric of these inserts is 100% polyester at 96 g/m2 and 50 denier. The main fabric made of 20 denier polyamide is reinforced to prevent the spread of tears. However, it can always hook on something: you can repair this with one of our self-adhesive patches.

What’s the composition of this down jacket?

This down jacket includes: - Hood fastening- Jacket hem tightening- Two hand pockets - Two chest pockets - Three fur-lined pockets, one with mesh - A storage bag

What are the advantages of duck down and feather filling?

This down jacket, filled with 90% down/10% feathers, has a fill power of 800 CUIN which gives it a range of qualities for trekking:- Excellent warmth at minimal weight. - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. - Ultra-compressibility.

Is this down jacket water-repellent?

The main fabric of this down jacket is water-repellent, but not waterproof. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric which delays the penetration of water into the padded jacket while you get out of the rain. The reinforced fabric in strategic areas (head, shoulders and wrists) is waterproof.

What is the weight of the wadding?

Weight of the filling: XS: 6.3 oz (180 g)S: 6.7 oz (190 g)M: 7.1 oz (200 g)L: 7.4 oz (210 g)XL: 7.9 oz (223 g)XXL: 8.3 oz (236 g)3XL: 8.8 oz (249 g)

How do you wash a down jacket?

To wash your trekking down jacket, here are the steps to follow: 1. Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments at 86°F (30°C), with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Spin at 800 cycles at 1,000 revolutions per minute.2. Tumble dry on synthetic mode with 2 or 3 tennis balls, repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry. 3. Once your down jacket is dry, you can use a water-repellency reactivating spray.

Product testing

Warmth test conducted using a mannequin dressed in a long-sleeved synthetic T-shirt and a light fleece jacket, walking against a simulated wind speed of 3mph (5 km/h).

Storage instructions

Store on a hanger in a dry place. To ensure you don’t affect the fill power, do not store folded in its pouch.
