4 person tent canvas

Good tent canvas large enough for two people and a large dog (room) If you are camping and it rains I recommend that you put a tarpaulin because the humidity seeps in and the canvas gets wet quickly. The entrance area is perfect for accommodating a table and its stock for 2 with 1 large dog, we have space so well organized.

it's alright, just be patient

Once you finally put it up it's good. plenty of room, easy to follow clip system. to assemble it is a bit time consuming, you need to 2 people to do it properly. disassemble is not the issue, it's rolling it and putting it back in the bag. I tried many times and in various methods. I still can't get it back in the bag. I'm a seasoned camper, I've never had this issue. Who ever can figure this out, cheers to you. it's fine for car camping, but for canoe tripping, stay away.

Tent

I love this tent, it's my 2nd Decathlon tent and I had no issues with the 1st one (just had to leave it behind when I moved countries). I can manage to put up the tent on my own and have no issues getting everything lined up correctly. A pocket in the main area for bits and pieces would be good, and maybe some more hooks around for extra lights.

Complicated setup

I have seen variety of tents through 20 years of hiking/camping and this tent is to complicated to setup. Even my first relatively cheap tent is easier to setup and made of better materials. While 20 years ago technology was a lot different. Also, note that return is not free. In my case I paid $25 for shipping and $75 for return from NY resulting me in only half of the money back. So I tried the tent for $100 out of my pocket. Overall, I like Decathlon, have been using it for long in Europe. I am happy it came to the US, but doing business here is slightly different and free shipment and returns here is assumed by many customers. I will keep shopping here for clothes, but its unlikely I can consider Decathlon for buying a tent again.

Value for money and ease of assembly

Easy to assemble, even a single adult with 1 child. 3 places not 4, even for children. Standing up to getting dressed or even putting a table out front is life-changing. I would have dreamed of the same format but with a fresh and black option and with mosquito nets that could be clipped on for the living room area.

Excellent once set up

For the price of the tent, what you get is amazing. Loads of room inside. The tent doesn't breath very well, so if it's set in the sun it'll hold that heat for a while, but you don't have to worry about condensation with how much space there is, even with 4 people and a dog. You can sleep 4 people comfy in the mesh inner tent, or spaciously 2 in the inner and 2 in the mud room (if they're fine with some bugs). If you want to get real cozy You could pack 4 people in each section. The issue with this tent is the set up. Having used it four times now, I still struggle to get the tent centered and evenly set up. It's incredibly frustrating to get the poles in and lines steaked, just to do 5 loops around the tent adjusting the lines and stakes at the base. I don't know if it's possible, but if the tent can be made easier to set up and given a second mesh window in the mud room this would go from 'average' to 'excellent'.

Horrible to put together.

We requested a refund. It was necessary to insert the poles not in a tube but in hourlets. At each junction of the poles, you had to be patient to insert each of the dozens of junctions. Hell! Fortunately, the customer service was impeccable and it was easy to get a refund.

Tent

Good overall, waterproof and roomy. Outer chamber is not sealed to the ground or outer door, making bugs able to get into chamber.

Great tent, smart design

I got this tent for casual camping. It's great. As usual, Decathlon made the effort to design it smartly - from the way it's set up (outer cover first) to the skirts around the inner tarp. It's spacious and easy to keep the sleeping area clean and bug-free. It even comes with replacement poles and string since those are bound to fail at some point (hopefully not soon).

great purchase

don't get wet and breathe well

Great value

Tent totally held up and despite a heavy storm, it kept bone dry. It was pretty straight forward to set up but the stakes didn't fare well in the dry CA ground. Either they didn't hold or they bent. Small issue. It's a pretty great piece of gear

Spacious, solid and easy to assemble.

We used it during a rainy weekend and I slept like a baby unlike other tents used in the past where humidity seeps through. The height of the entrance is a big advantage for a tall person like me, my back is very happy with it. Quite simple to assemble (two people) too, even if you have a little trouble stretching it perfectly, but with practice it will come. On the other hand, at the beginning we had difficulty understanding how to assemble it with the pictograms without explanation, we had to look for the YouTube video to understand how to assemble it, after that it was really good. We highly recommend it to all our friends who have tested several tents, this one is by far the best in terms of speed of assembly, quality of the tent, space and price.
