Product Customer Reviews
perfect bike in M (1m82). The problem mainly comes from the spare parts and maintenance. Be careful, the after-sales service is provided by the D4 cycle workshop, so we have enthusiasts who are perfect and ... the others who have never had a high-end bike in their hands. Conclusion: bike blocked for 1 month because a screw thread was too tight and a damaged nut (without a dynamo key). In Tarbes: be careful!! Already 7000km in 7 months (races and training), nervous, comfortable, flat, mountain .... when there are no Watts, it's not the bike's fault ;-)
very light
Yes, I treated myself to it and it is my first top bike in this price range. After the first 500 km or so, here are my first impressions: If you are looking for a road bike that is designed for speed, you should definitely consider the VR RCR Pro if you can still get one... It convinced me from the start in terms of handling: on flat terrain it felt much faster than any bike I have ridden before, the quick acceleration, the absolutely brilliant rolling behavior thanks to the fast wheels, the rigidity on fast descents, etc. It is also one of the most beautiful bikes on the road. My conclusion: I would buy it again without hesitation.
This bike is vice world champion 2024, only pleasure on board, not much more to add, congratulations to the Van Rysel team
Perfect bike, exceptional performance The wheels are extraordinary Bravo to Decathlon
Great bike after a good postural study! Maybe the wheels are a notch below the whole but it's still fine.
This is my first bike in this price range. I have now ridden it 2000km and completed a cycling marathon. (I am 183cm, inseam 89cm, 70kg, frame size L, and 1200W sprint power) - Weight: They cheated quite a bit here. Instead of 6.9kg in M, the L weighs around 7.15kg with a total of 40ml of tubeless milk (20ml per tire). This is a big minus point, because weight is of course one of the main reasons for buying it! The heavier it is, the more alternative bikes you can find! - Tubeless valves: Only one was included instead of two. The front tire has not been properly sealed so far; after 24 hours the air has completely gone, probably due to the tire. + Handling: Very good, cornering very good, braking very controlled. On my first real downhill ride I had no concerns about driving at 95km/h; as expected, it is very stable in corners. The 28mm wide tires certainly contribute to this. - The seat post clamp is a big negative point: when I mounted it with carbon assembly paste and the specified torque, it doesn't stay in place permanently. The paint on the seat post has now chipped off due to the slipping. When it hits deep potholes, it simply slides down! Grip tape can help, but at the price of the bike, something like that shouldn't happen! + Acceleration: I've never had such a stable bike + Aero: It feels really faster on flat terrain than my 7-year-old mountain bike. Even on a basic lap with 200W, I always average around 33-35 km/h. + It is delivered ready to ride with pumped-up tubes and there is no need to tinker with the handlebars. The handlebar height is fine for me for now, but it can always be lowered. + The wheels are very stable in crosswinds, roll very comfortably and unobtrusively. + Design: For me, one of the most beautiful bikes in this price range, the only negative point is the very dominant "Van Rysel" lettering on the down tube, I would like that more discreetly. +/- The handlebar ends are too long, as with many other models. I never reach that far back and when I sprint my knees lightly touch the handlebars. I'll probably saw off ~2cm of the handlebar ends. I have no idea if anyone actually uses this position. The reason I bought it was: It has the same geometry as my previous bike, it's very light for an aero racing bike and I can ride the RCR PRO as delivered with ~12cm of drop without any modifications (183cm with 89cm inseam). With other manufacturers, the handlebar width and crank length usually didn't fit. And finally a bike that manages the balancing act between aero and mountain bike at a halfway reasonable price!
I am interested in this bike, but in none of the Decathlon stores I have asked had any idea about the product. This gives a very bad image and does not motivate you to make such a large investment. I left my phone number in the store so they could contact me regarding a query to see if it is possible to change the size of the crank that comes as standard, and then they have not called me to explain this or to explain anything to me. If these bikes are not displayed in any of the stores, and there is no one from Decathlon to answer your questions or a chat where you can get information, it is difficult to go ahead and order this bike, or any other from the brand.
Stunning bike, perfect aerodynamics, and perfect equipment, I recommend it 100%. However, I do recommend Decathlon that the pre-sale and post-sale service of a flagship bike from the brand should be better after some problems that have already been solved.
I bought the Dura Ace RCR Pro and have ridden it for ~ 3000 km and 3 months. I also own a 2010-era top end road bike, so comparing both here. Speed - the aero gains on the flats are amazing, and descents are downright scary. I frequently hit 80kmh coasting down a 7-8% incline. Comfort - better than my old bike, which itself was incredibly smooth. For optimal fit, I recommend one, or even two sizes smaller than what Decathlon recommends, as these bikes are very long and low. Weight - built up size S (i am 178cm), with pedals, bottle cages and bike computer comes out at just under 7.5kg Components - Dura ace is excellent apart from the appalling power meter. The Swisside 50mm wheels are fast, stable in crosswinds, and very strong - I took a tumble after riding through a pothole with sharp edges, and the bike was totally fine. Big note to decathlon here - the information on components is incorrect on the website. 1. The integrated Deda stem/handlebar: Size S comes with a ~110mm stem, handlebar width is ~34cm at the top of the hoods, ~36cm on the corners, and ~38cm on the drops (measured center/center) 2. The custom computer mount comes with the bike, if anyone is wondering. 3. Tires - comes with 28mm GP5000s that measure 29mm. Tubeless valves come with the bike, I however prefer TPU inner tubes. 4. Saddle - good overall, although I would have preferred something narrower. It's stupid light, so not replacing it. Assembly - I had it assembled in the store. The mechanic was very knowledgable and took great care in building the bike up - 5 star service! The bike itself comes in a cardboard coffin, mostly preassembled, apart from the wheels and seatpost+di2 battery. Frame - finish is good, no creaks, rattles or any other issues so far. The carbon on the downtube seems a bit thin - I can press it in with my finger around the bottle cage mount, don't know how other modern frames are in this regard. Also, the seat tube bottle cage sits slightly lopsided, I suspect that the rivnuts may be slightly off center. Overall, I highly recommend the bike. No problems so far, great all-rounder, fast on the flats and nimble on the climbs. Don't trust the specs listed on the website, and make sure you know you are getting the right size.
The brake fluid was lost due to the poor assembly of a €9,000 bike
Non-compliant paint, black marks. Well taken into account by the Hunting store. Thanks Eric. Waiting for a return now. I am surprised that no inspection has seen these very visible defects. From the center of Lille.
After the first 200km, I was able to gain my first impressions. Compared to an SWorks Tarmac SL7, I would always take the RCR pro without hesitation. The acceleration, especially uphill, is more comparable to an Atehos. On faster passages or descents, you notice that a really good balance has been found here. Do you need a road bike like this as an amateur? Certainly not! But if you can handle the price and want a great road bike, then you can go for it.

Frame (for bike): 100.0% Carbon
Rcr pro frameset
Designed to be lighter and offer more road feedback than our standard RCR. This is achieved by using a proprietary carbon layup. This bike is a race machine, that can climb as well as excel on the flats. What makes it more even better is the fact that this bike can do it all while still being comfortable to ride... Watch this bike win races all year long under the Decathlon AG2R Mondial team this season and for at least the next 4 more years.
What's the difference between the rcr and the rcr pro?
What makes a carbon frame is its geometry, its shapes and its layup. The layup is how the carbon fibres are assembled. Not all fibres have the same properties. On the frame of the RCR, we only use high-modulus fibres. On the RCR PRO, we've chosen exceptional fibres that make the bike stiffer in the areas that are put under the most stress and that slightly reduce the weight. The RCR PRO is ready to compete at the highest level.
A closer look at the frame
The RCR Pro's frame weighs 790 g (painted) in size M The RCR's fork weighs 380 g (painted) in size MThe frame can take tyres up to 32 mm wide. There may be slight variations in weight depending on the colour (+/- 50 g).
Cockpit
We've specially designed the RCR Pro's cockpit with our partner Deda to improve the aerodynamics by reducing the front surface while ensuring optimal ergonomics at the 3 contact points (levers, top of handlebar and drops). The housing is fully internally routed for a streamlined effect. The Deda X VR combo depends on the frame size:(stem length x handlebar width)XS: 90 x 380S: 90 x 400M: 100 x 400L: 110 x 400XL: 120 x 400

Make sure to bed in both brakes.Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.
