Forclaz Repair Patches for Down Jackets and Sleeping Bags

I recently purchased a down jacket and sleeping bag repair kit from Decathlon, and I'd like to share my experience. Unfortunately, I encountered a lot of difficulty installing the patch. The paper backing the patch is stuck to is extremely difficult to peel off. Even when trying to lift the edges, they tend to curl up and stick to themselves, making installation difficult and ineffective. In my opinion, it would be a good idea if Decathlon offered a pre-cut backing, similar to that of a band-aid, to make it easier to peel off and apply the patch.

This is exactly the kind of item that you should always have in your first aid kit when you go out into the wild. These repair patches are ultra-easy to use and super effective when there is a tear on a coat, jacket, etc. Personally, I always repair small holes with super glue, and this kind of patch repairs larger tears. Plus, there is a transparent plastic film that helps to place the patch correctly on the tear and makes repairs child's play.

The patch has already been removed from its packaging and part of it is unusable because it is stuck on itself... In addition, the fabric being extremely thin, it is very difficult to remove the protective plastic without having to grasp each side to remove it.

After repairing a tear in my down jacket with this patch, I immediately bought a spare and keep it in my chest pocket. Handy for quick repairs in emergencies.

I bought this to fill a hole in a down sleeping bag due to a burn but it is really too rigid I even had to put tape over it because it does not hold. For another use it may be ok but for a sleeping bag it is not suitable you need less rigid
