Warm and comfortable down jacket.
The men's jacket is very warm and comfortable, suitable for easy trips to the mountains.
The best jacket I've ever had, I haven't found one this warm in any general store. It was the first winter I didn't get cold even in the coldest weather. It can be packed very small, which came in handy on hikes. The water repellency should be treated as if it weren't there because of the down filling, and worn with an outer jacket.
I have been using the FORCLASS MT500 men's down trekking jacket for about a month now and I am very pleased. The jacket is light, well-fitting and the XL size fits my dimensions perfectly (185 cm tall, 113 cm shoulder circumference), sometimes XL is too small and 2 XL is too large. The sleeves are the right length and the drawstring at the waist allows for a comfortable fit. The hood and neck finish are very comfortable. The zipper works well, although it gets a little stuck at the neck, but that is not a big problem. The side pockets with zippers and internal compartments are a definite plus. The chest pocket is also a big plus, which can easily fit even a large phone. The jacket has a classic black color, without bright accents, which makes it great for everyday wear in the city. I use it every day, also on the subway, and it works perfectly. I recommend this jacket for both trekking and everyday wear. The only thing I would like is a version with more waterproof material, as I'm afraid that in case of rain the down might get wet.
buy for its comfort and color
Fabric a little too fragile
The jacket is very warm, light and easy to compress to small sizes, so you can easily pack it into a backpack. I recommend it
Super comfortable and warm
Jacket bought after returning the blue version, which failed after the first wash. Mega plus for Decathlon for the hassle-free return - quick action, no fuss. More than a year has passed since then and this down jacket still looks and works like new. It is warm, light, well-tailored, you don't look like you're in an inflatable balloon. The hood fits well, the pockets are roomy, the zipper is solid - everything you need for winter conditions. The only thing missing is an inside pocket, but apart from that? For this price it's an absolute hit. I use it every day and for trips - and honestly, I see no reason to buy something more expensive. Verdict: If you're looking for a winter jacket that does the job and doesn't fall apart - get it. You won't regret it.
Good garment for the mountains
After the first wash (instructions followed), the feathers clumped together and the down jacket became unusable.
Excellent value for money. Practical and functional
A down jacket that provides effective warmth. Check the fit according to your body shape...
Great jacket, very versatile in terms of temperature range. Comfortable to wear from -10 to +10.
Perfect for winter, on warmer days it is also comfortable but a bit too warm. Very well tailored for a slim guy. Not too long. Perfectly made hood with high fastening makes it really tight and warm. I recommend
Padding: 90.0% Grey Duck Down, 10.0% Grey Duck Feather ; Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyamide ; Pocket: 100.0% Polyester

The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.

The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. We have repair patches that you can purchase!
4 independent Forclaz trekkers and 4 members of Forclaz tested this down jacket during 3 days of trekking in November 2021 up to 9842 ft. altitude near Chamonix in the Mont Blanc Country. The feedback given to us after this test let us validate this down jacket for mountain trekking.
