Excellent protection against the sun. Breathable, light and comfortable to wear.
I have at home and use maybe 6 or 8 hats, beige and light blue, men's and women's, and I love them. I like the lightness of the material, that it can be folded almost completely flat, so it fits easily even in a small backpack, the light color does not attract the sun, the brim is wide enough to protect the face and cheeks, I have appreciated the drawstring under the neck more than once, thanks that the hat won't blow away in the wind. Maintenance is also very easy, I simply wash it in the washing machine. The brim curls a little, but it does not affect the function.
Very practical and good product
Great thing for very hot days, unlike a hat, it protects both the karak and the ears. I used it practically the whole summer, on mountain hikes, kayaking, or regular forest walks. When wet, it dries in literally a few minutes in the sun - this is also a good trick to quickly cool down in hot weather - soak the hat in water, wring it out and put it on your head. It does not lose its shape after washing in the washing machine.
For the umbrella I was looking for a small model
The sun protection is excellent. And after hiking for several hours in the rain, I didn't get soaked, even though this hat is designed for sun protection.
Hat that does its job. Used in the Alps in summer. Good protection, cord very appreciable in case of gust of wind. Super light, you don't feel it on your head.

What criteria must a cap meet in order to qualify as ”uv-protective”?
UV protection standards for hats are very specific: The fabric must of course be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50), but this is not enough to claim the finished product is anti-UV. The hat must also have a wide brim and flap which fully protects the face and the back of the neck. The Trek 500 hat meets these requirements so you can go hiking with complete peace of mind: you are perfectly protected!
How is polyamide more resistant?
Polyamide offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance. Moreover, microorganisms and mould don’t trouble the synthetic fibre!
How do you measure a fabric's quick drying capacity?
The product is machine washed 3 times then line dried, then we immerse it in water and measure how long it takes to get back to its pre-wash weight.This hat scored an impressive 5 out of 5 stars, returning to its pre-washed weight in less than 80 minutes!
