The jacket has elastic cuffs, however it does not have thumb holes.

Very practical item because it is very compact and has a nice design but not warm enough for me
Highly recommend putting all of your exact measurements in the size guide, I did choose a Large as I will be wearing (and have been for the last 2 weeks) a base layer as well as a heavy fleece or micro grid fleece hoodie under this jacket. The price vs quality cannot be beat. In my opinion, if you prefer it to be fitted, just order your regular size. If you wish to layer, size up.

Super light and comfortable down jacket to wear. Easy to wash and dry. A small flaw: the down comes out at the seams after a while, especially at the sleeves. Also missing a bit of padding. A little more down would be better, given the increase in price!

It's lightweight and keeps you warm in cold weather
Nice rendering, comfortable, soft and very light. Once folded, it takes up very little space. Small downside, I don't find it very warm, even though it is given for -5°C. Perfect for mid-season. For winter, I recommend the range just above.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This down jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F (-5°C), during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is 41°F (5°C) in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
Inflating power of down/feather filling
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°C, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.

A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. We even have patches you can purchase on our website!

All our down jackets are laboratory tested in 3.1 mph winds and worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved T-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, so that you can make the choice that best suits your use.
