Not used in rainy weather
The only negative thing that can be said about this down jacket, which is excellent value for money, is the design of incorporating the outer chest pocket in the way they have done. It is super practical, but it looks really bad because they have not given continuity to the seams of the garment itself and it looks like an added patch that gives a poor and rather unsightly impression. In the khaki green colour, the prettiest, it is the one that is most noticeable. Without a doubt a big mistake by the designers. I hope they take note in future collections.
Not yet tested at lower temperatures, but at 2 degrees in any case fine. The jacket fits well and fits well. However, the finish is not optimal everywhere. In one jacket pocket the zipper was stuck in the lining. A strip was placed on the inside to prevent this, but in the left jacket pocket it was not optimally placed. I just stuck a strip of Duck tape along it and now no problem anymore.
Disappointed with this product, because it does the job! Let me explain, a down jacket that keeps the heat very well for periods of extreme cold is perfect! But a down jacket that is much too fragile!! Very light fabric but which tears very very easily! So impossible to clean, the feathers come out! At this price I find that regrettable.
Size to prefer slightly smaller. Very good comfort. Very packable
11 months after purchase, very disappointed with this white (colorless) color. The down jacket remains warm, very pleasant, but it has yellowed in places. I recommend this model of Down Jacket for comfort but not the white (colorless) color.
I have used the hoodless version before, the new version is much more improved and beautiful. The increase in pockets and the wind blocker between the zipper are extra nice

How warm is this padded jacket?
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 14°F (-10°C) during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3 mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. Its comfort temperature is 0°C in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.

How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A snag? how to repair your fleece
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. We have repair patches that you can purchase!
Product testing
4 independent Forclaz trekkers and 4 members of Forclaz tested this down jacket during 3 days of trekking in November 2021 up to 9842 ft. altitude near Chamonix in the Mont Blanc Country. The feedback given to us after this test let us validate this down jacket for mountain trekking.
