After a Year

still working great after a year of heavy use. wearing daily for dog walks. very comfortable, no signs of wear and tear. I have smelly feet and these don't hold that smell

No proper assistance by the staff, after one trekking shoe got loose....money got wasted

I am extremely happy with these boots. They give me immense support and grip during hikes and treks. They look highly smart and love the water proof effect. Glad I selected these

Very good shoes

I bought the shoes about 5 years ago. I have done hundreds of km in them in the Beskids, Tatras and Bieszczady, both in summer and winter. The shoes coped well on stones, in mud, snow and rain. I must point out that the shoes were regularly waterproofed. They are still in very good condition, even the laces have not worn out. They are comfortable and provide good grip. Where some people slipped, I could walk confidently without fear of slipping. I recommend.

worst purchase

I had many trekking shoes from decathlon and other brands but planned to invest considering it to be waterproof and more reliable, all my expectations were vanished on the very first day of my trek as it was all wet and wasn’t waterproof, the quality was so bad that as early as it got wet the sole was detached . Not only this it was very slippery throughout the terrain , please don’t invest in their false branding of waterproof and good support. It was my worst purchase and investment in a trekking gear

Excellent value for money

I have been using them for over two years now and they have never given me any kind of problem, both in summer and winter. Used on rocks, rivers, volcanic terrain, snow, they have never disappointed me! Comfortable, waterproof, good grip, warm and dry.

Good

Sizes too small, it hurts!

After advice from a seller on the correspondence of the size with my feet, I bought these shoes. In 2 days of hiking I had big blisters, impossible to put them back afterwards my heels were bleeding. The seller told me that they would relax, I felt my foot tight when trying but I did not think that it would hurt me to this point when using them. I asked for an exchange or credit but because of their use I am not sure to get anything in return. I think it is good to understand 1 size above your usual size.

Light and very pleasant…

Light and very comfortable to wear, I took a size above to be able to wear good hiking socks...

Not a good fit

Decathlon worli recommended this angle length trekking shoe for our hike, and I am totally disappointed by the quality. The outer surface quality looks to be of low quality. Worst is the fitting. The ankle length design is such that it cuts into your calves especially if your height is short. Can't comfortably sit or walk without the upper part 'digging into your skin'. Will strongly suggest not to spend a significant 7k in such I'll fitted shoes.

for wider feet

Very comfortable, easy to put on. Not really suitable for people with narrower feet, because the foot slides forward when going down (unless off-trail, then that's fine).

😁

How waterproof are these boots?

This boot has been validated by a waterproofing test at 10,000 repeatable flexes, i.e. 10 km - 3 hours of walking, in water up to the mid-upper, which today guarantees a very good level of waterproofing for your boots.--> Our assessment indicates a LEVEL OF 2/5 giving 3 hours of waterproofing when hiking in the rain. The details of tests carried out to assess the waterproofing of our boots is below.

Footwear waterproofing test.

Footwear waterproofing test: tested in the laboratory and genuine usage conditions, equipped with waterproof and breathable layer, to offer excellent protection from the rain. Our Field Test Missions team up the product manager with people who aren't affiliated with QUECHUA, to test, improve, and validate our products. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.

3 levels of waterproofing.

During the waterproofness test, we test 5 levels of waterproofness: 2,000 flexes (approximately 4 km ,30 minutes of walking) 10,000 flexes (approximately 10 km ,3 hours of walking) 30,000 flexes (approximately 15 km ,6 hours of walking) 50,000 flexes (approximately 20 km ,8 hours of walking)100,000 flexes (approximately >20 km ,24 hours of walking)

Lab tests

Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: - tearing of the eyelets and straps- bonding of the sole- toxicology- UV resistance- abrasion of the sole and components of the upper- accelerated ageing.

Buying tips

Try on both boots, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try several models and various sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the heel seating (the heel does not or hardly slips) and the front of the foot on a downward slope (the toes do not touch the front of the boot).Avoid all pressure points when trying shoes on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Break in your boots gradually during their first hikes to adapt them to your foot.

Care tips

Use a brush to clean the boot and remove any dirt or mud. Always brush in the same direction to give nubuck its original look. The use of cream or waterproof grease on split leather is not recommended. While it will not damage the leather, it will change the look of your boots.

Product testing

All our boots are tested for initial comfort and comfort in use by typical users under the same conditions you will encounter yourself. Our Missions Tests link the product manager up with people who are not affiliated to Quechua to test, develop and approve the products.
