Keep their promises

Tested on the Saintexpress 2024, I had taken warmer gloves in my bag but in the end I didn't need to change, thin, comfortable and warm, they did the job!

Very useful

Despite its thin thickness, your hands stay warm.

Does the job but broke quickly

It does make my hand slightly warmer when taking it out of the mittens, and I could use my phone with it pretty easily. But I guess it’s too thin and got a hole at the thumb within 2-3 weeks of constant use.

I know them as undergloves

Use by bike

I wear them in cold weather under Decathlon mid-season 500 gloves and they do the job.

In addition to gloves…

In addition to ski gloves in very cold weather or when hiking

Surprising warm for how thin they are, great for early season, to keep in coat pockets for use when needed, or to use inside thicker gloves. I also use them for work, inside disposable nitrile gloves, while collecting environmental samples in colder weather. They're decently durable for the thickness of materials, but are thin, so will wear or tear if you try using them as work gloves.

What does the dexterity of a glove refer to?

A glove's dexterity corresponds to its ability to handle objects with ease. Our liner gloves have been given a score from 1 to 5 in a laboratory study. The closer the score is to 5, the more the glove can handle objects in the same way as bare hands. In particular, tests were done to measure how easily it is to get a jacket on and open it with these liner gloves.

Warmth

When worn under hiking gloves, these liner gloves will give you 37°F (3°C) of additional warmth. This corresponds to the ambient temperature at which 100% of testers felt comfortable. For better protection, we recommend that you wear gloves over the liner glove.

How is usage temperature measured?

All our gloves are laboratory-tested using a thermal hand to determine their level of insulation and minimum temperature rating. The minimum temperatures for use (recommended and limit) are the result of a study carried out with a test panel of 23 walkers exposed to temperatures ranging from 41°F (5°C) to -4°F (20°C) and 10 km/h winds. These temperatures are only valid in walking conditions.

How to properly protect your hands from the cold

By applying the layering principle, you can optimise the insulation of your hands. Consequently, by wearing liner gloves in addition to gloves, several air gaps are created around your hands, which provide effective insulation from the cold. To achieve this, the gloves must be big enough not to compress your fingers. This is because the compression slows down the blood flow in the fingers, which prevents them from keeping warm.

Origin of the wool

We use wool from merino sheep bred on farms in South Africa that do not practise mulesing. We built a partnership with a group of breeders (Konsortium Merino) to guarantee respect for animal welfare and the environment. This means we have full traceability, which allows us to guarantee the origin of the wool.

How to maintain your merino wool liner gloves

We recommend that you machine wash your Merino wool liner gloves at 86°F (30°C) on a normal cycle, preferably with liquid detergent. Dry them on a flat surface, away from moisture and all sources of heat. This could damage the fibre and make them lose their shape. Never put them in the tumble dryer.

Warning!

These gloves do not protect against the spread of viruses or microbes.

Product testing

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our designers create and develop products that are appealing, simple, and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field because we believe that the only way to continually improve is to test the products under the real-life conditions that you will experience.
