Used this summer, a little early to give an opinion on the long-term resistance, but super practical
Cookware used every day for 4 weeks for a trek in Norway and Sweden, for two. We used it mainly in the evening to heat water and cook couscous or pasta, the water takes a little while to heat but it's ok, in all we used a small classic gas cylinder and 5 days on another with an MSR gas burner. The cutlery is practical even if sometimes a bit of a hassle to rinse on the closing mechanism. The bowls have a larger capacity than you might think at first glance. Our small cylinder can be contained in the cookware, but we kept it outside to store the gas burner and the rest of the kitchen equipment instead.

How did we choose the materials for our cooking sets?
We chose 18/8 (304) stainless steel because it combines food safety and long-term resistance. It does not oxidise and prevents corrosion. It is very resistant and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal).
How did we choose the coating for our cooking sets?
For the TREK500 range, we have chosen not to use a non-stick coating in order to have a very simple product that is resistant to all conditions of use and washing. No need to wonder how to carry or wash it without damaging it!
How did we choose the plastics for our cooking sets?
Polyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (plate, handle) and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 100°C), shocks and deformation.Be careful not to place the plastic parts in direct contact with a flame.
How best to use your cook set?
Our cook sets are compatible with all types of fires (wood, gas, induction, etc.). The saucepan has a patented 2-part folding handle that locks the lid during transport.The lid fits the saucepan, heats food faster and also serves as a strainer.The bowl has a structured design that reduces heat transfer and can hold a gas cartridge (230 g screw cartridge) for transportation.The cutlery folds for easy storage.
How to store your cook set?
The items are stored inside the cook set. First the bowl then the cutlery. The lid is then placed and locked by the folding handle. The bowl and cutlery are also available for sale individually.
How to clean and maintain your cook set?
Before the first use, rinse all the items 3 times with clean water.All the items are dishwasher safe, and when used outside they can be washed with soapy water or with water and sand from the river!
What should you avoid doing with your cookset?
Never heat your saucepans empty, as this will deform and damage them.When using with a wood fire, make sure that the flames do not directly touch the plastic parts.Close your handle properly before using the cook set on the fire.In any case, prevent the flames from rising too high and reaching the lid, as it could melt.
