About this item:
- This backpack is made for multiple days hiking or trekking in autonomy. You can carry everything you need to camp, drink and eat on your back with comfort.
- The MT500 AIR only weighs 3.7 lbs and can contain a total volume of 50 liters which we recommend for a trip over 2 weeks long. The top of the bag is adjustable and can hold an extral 10 liters of volume.

The bag has a 60 L volume with an extra 10 L extension. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in litres, with a margin of error of just a few %. The torso length is adjustable between 16 inches (40 cm) and 21 inches (53 cm), and the waistband adjusts from 31 inches (79 cm) to 54 inches (136 cm). Really practical to use, well thought out. Good accessibility to the main pocket, very good carrying comfort, lots of adjustments. The only flaw in my eyes is that the location of the water bottle is very practical, but if you walk with poles, your water bottle may hinder your movements by being in the way.

+ Value for money. Very comfortable to use. Has lots of storage space. Easy to clean. Complete supporting features. - It's a bit difficult to remove and attach the strap when you want to add/reduce capacity at the top of the backpack (the strap is too small).

The product is better quality and functional than expected.
Backpack of good materials and quality, especially in relation to the price, excellent. Lacks side mesh pockets for tripods or poles, the pockets (bellows, excellent) hold objects max 35-40cm in length. Uncomfortable to open the front zip when the backpack is empty, they could have put a double slider. Actual storage volume "less" than 70 effective liters, especially due to the arched frame and the construction that favors width over depth: you have a load more adherent to the body as an advantage, but the storage of very bulky objects is more difficult
The side pockets: the side of the closures is not practical. A lot of straps with closure system: too thin and too small (big finger), which makes a problem of the "practical" system, already without gloves, if we have to use the gloves, we can only remove them to open any part of the bag. For the straps of the compartmentation, I cut them, more annoying than practical.
The bag is of very good quality, the carrying is very pleasant, I recommend it

I have used it for months and I am very satisfied. Whether it is sufficient or not varies from person to person, of course, but for me it was sufficient in every camp I went to. The only problem I experienced was that the tent hanging part loosened a little by itself, but other than that it did not cause any problems.

Air design
As with the MT900 UL line, the MT500 AIR range has a ventilated back structure with mesh fabric (net fabric) that helps the back to breathe and dries quickly. Rigidity is guaranteed by a reinforced frame. The back is adjustable with a release strap that’s easy and quick to use.

Recommended carry weight
According to the project for which this backpack was designed, we recommend you don’t load it above 15 kg. Then you can benefit from all its features. Moreover, it’s not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your own weight and put too much pressure on your back.
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.
How to use the multi-use straps?
The new range of MT500 AIR and MT900 UL bags has two straps with open aluminium buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.
