Product Customer Reviews
Exactly what I was looking for. Warm, not too tight (I’m between a medium and large depending on brand) and folds up super small. Perfect for my upcoming travels. Very nice quality!
Excellent product I recommend
Finally the hoods are smaller and well adapted. The choice is limited for colors. Too much black and little burgundy.
Jacket with good protection against cold wind, easy to fold to a size compatible with a small backpack.
Nice cut, light and warm. It would just be necessary to make an improvement on the distribution of the down, in fact after washing and drying with a washing ball, you have to be patient to distribute the down which remains partly agglomerated leaving empty areas.
Not recommended
It's okay. It doesn't have a hood so you can wear it under another jacket. For the price it's a very good purchase - it's no different in quality than jackets from other manufacturers (twice as expensive)
It is suitable for winter hiking at home and is also practical for traveling because it takes up little space.
2nd very thin and warm layer for skiing.
Can be used as an undercoat. Practical for between seasons. Not suitable in case of rain. I recommend it!
Ideal for spring, a little lighter for winter

Excellent, I didn't think that even used alone it would make a difference, I can't do without it anymore. I use it every day under a jacket or alone, and since it fits comfortably I use it over heavy clothing for winter trekking or with a vest.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This down jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of -5°C , during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is +5°C in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
How to repair your fleece?
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some Decathlon workshops offer an in-store repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.

Product testing
All our down jackets are laboratory tested in 3 mph winds and worn as a third layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long-sleeved T-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, helping you choose the option that best suits your needs.
