Product Customer Reviews
Practical, warm, light...: many adjectives would be needed to correctly represent the article...
Very good product, easy to carry.
Not very waterproof, rainwater passes through quickly, there is no waterproofing or water repellency, I only use it in dry weather for my hikes
I wore the jacket for a while. I had about 10* on me when I said it was time to wash it. As described on the Decathlon website, I washed it on a low heat, with technical detergent, and put two tennis balls in the dryer (all without ice). Then I spread it out to dry horizontally on top of a clothes dryer. But in fact, as soon as it came out of the washing machine, it looked like that was all... It had completely fallen apart. I took it to a Decathlon store, where they immediately said in a rather rude manner that it was a washing error and that I shouldn't have followed the Decathlon instructions because it's not allowed to be put in the dryer. I took it to a dry cleaner based on their recommendation, but they said that it wouldn't be a jacket because apparently the filling was too small in the first place. They also said that they had seen quite a few Decathlon down jackets and they were all like that. I am terribly disappointed. They are not cheap products so much that you have to replace them.
Waste of money in 3499
Great value. Fits a bit tighter than expected and zipper is not the best quality. Overall super happy
Awesome
Very comfortable and functional down jacket. Its strong point is definitely its almost zero bulk, while still maintaining a nice design. Regarding the thermal contribution, however, there is something to improve, it is definitely not suitable for temperatures close to 0, even if you are moving.
Na
Light and waterproof jacket, it is windproof enough but I don't think it is a warm jacket. It does its job well. The hood should have a drawstring so that it can be adjusted to the head and not blown away by the wind.
Warm, lightweight jacket. The cut fits nicely, the dark blue color looks very nice too.
Considering the price to quality ratio, this is the best down jacket available on the market.
Product is good but high price
Bought to use on a hike, but haven't found a moment to go yet. Jacket fits perfectly and feels good.
We feel good there, very comfortable and elegant.

The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Summary: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°C, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimizes its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when backpacking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. You can purchase repair patches on our website!
