The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3.1 mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is 41°F in this case.

A good and light down jacket for its money
I found the jacket great, warm and compact. Unfortunately, I decided to wash it and followed the instructions for washing down jackets (gentle wash at 30, no spin, with tennis shoes). Unfortunately, as someone already wrote here, the feathers fell off in a few places during washing and it is no longer so warm.
Excellent build quality and materials. Very comfortable to wear. Compact, folds up to a pillow in the left pocket (Added bonus, can be used as a pillow for overnight hikes 😝). Much better than a separate sack that I would inevitably lose. Fits my (overpriced, ultra premium) rain shell perfectly for layering. I am a Scout leader and need this for fall/winter hiking season and so far it has exceeded all my expectations. Sure there are probably better out there, but not at (or even close to) this price point. Gave it three out of five stars for waterproof only because never worn in full rain, so cannot fairly comment on that. I don’t think that it is really designed to be used as a waterproof layer (not on its own). It looks pretty stylish as well (in my opinion). I did have a chance to compare it with another similar priced alternative from Uniqlo, which is also referenced in online recommendations and in my opinion this product (MT 100 Forclaz) is far superior (even at about 5-10% less in price) and I wouldn’t have a problem pitting it against products from Patagonia or Arc’teryx. You get what you pay for. Only in this case I believe you get much more than what you paid for. Thank you Decathlon.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This down jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F , during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is 41°C in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?

How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimizes its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
