- This light puffer jacket has been designed for backpacking, yet offers a great design making it perfect for everyday use in cold and mild weather.
- Warmth: From 23°F and warmer, this puffer jacket will keep you comfortably warm and is filled with recycled polyester: easier to wash than a downjacket.

What is the main difference between this jacket and the Forclaz Men's MT100 Hooded Down Puffer Jacket. Is one just down and one is synthetic or are there other differences. Are they both rated to the same temperatures?
Answer:
These are comparable products. In addition to the filling difference, the synthetic jacket dries off much quicker than the down filled jacket. Both jackets have the same warmth promise.

I ordered and received a Men's Synthetic Mountain Trekking Hooded Padded Jacket - MT100 - 5 degrees Celcius. My question is: should the zipper pull be on the left side on a men’s jacket?

A coat for mid-season weather: rain but not too much, cold but not too much... I've already bought several for my children, and they're perfect if you stick to what they are. In downpours, you'll get wet, and below 5°C, you'll be cold; for those conditions, there are better coats, and also more expensive, of course.
Great product, comfortable to wear and also nice to look at without spending a lot. It perhaps lacks a nice internal pocket and it was perfect! Recommended anyway!

Down jacket that is perfect for everyday use
Used for travel and hiking, minimum temperature -1°, super compact and very warm, surprising. I was worried about the resistance, but 2 months with a backpack without any problems. Good compromise between price/warmth/size

It is a very soft coat. It would be a great option for use during seasonal transitions. It is good that it has a hood. The sleeves are a bit long. It is very good for its price.
It has become my favorite little jacket. You can't buy such a good little jacket anywhere else for this price. I haven't even been cold in it with a T-shirt underneath, even in temperatures around 0-5 degrees. You can actually pack it into one of the pockets, so I can take it with me on multi-day hikes. It's light and warm, and it looks really good too. It's no coincidence that it has such good reviews. I can only recommend it to everyone!

Durable materials
This polyamide canvas uses 20 denier threads (measurement unit of the thread) and resists up to 20,000 abrasion cycles. Durability is calculated using the Martindale test (Standard 12 947-2). This test is to rub the jacket’s material against another material to observe how the product resists wear. Outer: 100% polyamide fabric 39g/sqm, 20 denier Lining: 100% polyamide fabric 35 g/sqm, a mix of 15 and 20 denier threads.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises performance throughout the lifespan of your garment. You will find it in store and on our website by entering the reference 8817233.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch so the tear doesn’t get any bigger or synthetic fibres escape. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some Decathlon workshops offer an in-store repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.
Product testing
In November 2017, 6 backpackers (4 men and 2 women) with part of the Forclaz design team tested this padded jacket for four days in the Southern French Alps.We were then able to make the final modifications and validate it for use for backpacking in the mountains.
Storage instructions
To keep the wadding inflated, we recommend you store your padded jacket on a hanger and not folded up in its pocket!
