- This light puffer jacket has been designed for backpacking, yet offers a great design making it perfect for everyday use in cold and mild weather.
- Warmth: From 23°F and warmer, this puffer jacket will keep you comfortably warm and is filled with recycled polyester: easier to wash than a downjacket.

What is the main difference between this jacket and the Forclaz Men's MT100 Hooded Down Puffer Jacket. Is one just down and one is synthetic or are there other differences. Are they both rated to the same temperatures?
Answer:
These are comparable products. In addition to the filling difference, the synthetic jacket dries off much quicker than the down filled jacket. Both jackets have the same warmth promise.

I ordered and received a Men's Synthetic Mountain Trekking Hooded Padded Jacket - MT100 - 5 degrees Celcius. My question is: should the zipper pull be on the left side on a men’s jacket?

jacket for everyday use but not too cold
It is warm and super comfortable, it fulfills its function as a jacket
Very comfortable to wear, lightweight yet warm. Personally, I prefer the model without the hood; it's still very useful.
Super practical jacket that you can take anywhere because it's very compact! Keeps you warm, protects well from the rain and even the wind.
good compact down jacket that doesn't make me cold, cut a little too tight for my taste.
Good design, more than anything, it's an urban jacket and basic for some mountain outings. It doesn't breathe, and the pearlescent effect is minimal. It has an elastic band at the bottom that I don't think is necessary, but it doesn't have one on the hood, which makes it very uncomfortable when there's a bit of wind, and it blows in from the sides, making you cold and uncomfortable.
for a fix it's fine
I ordered the same product for the second time. I have been using the first one for more than two years. I washed it many times at 30 degrees on a delicate program. It did not deform or deteriorate. It dries very quickly. It is light, does not take up space, and performs well in windy and rainy weather down to -5 degrees. I ordered a new one because I had the pocket part attached somewhere. Unfortunately, it is difficult to sew and repair. Maybe I can close that part with a badge.
It has a nice material for adults. It insulates well and can be packed small.
Comfortable, warm, and affordable. You can fit the whole thing inside its own pocket, making it look like a "purse" (no joke). If it rains, you'll obviously end up getting wet. But for that price, overall, for all its features, I haven't seen anything better.
I have 5 coats of this model and the problem with the pocket closures persists. The zipper gets caught in the fabric, damaging the pockets. My last one is 5 months old and the pocket is already all torn.
Excellent value for money and convenience....
I have been looking for a new sythetic jacket for a while and looked at various brands. I love how decathlon products are designed and logos etc are discrete. great value great feel and very warm

Durable materials
This polyamide canvas uses 20 denier threads (measurement unit of the thread) and resists up to 20,000 abrasion cycles. Durability is calculated using the Martindale test (Standard 12 947-2). This test is to rub the jacket’s material against another material to observe how the product resists wear. Outer: 100% polyamide fabric 39g/sqm, 20 denier Lining: 100% polyamide fabric 35 g/sqm, a mix of 15 and 20 denier threads.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises performance throughout the lifespan of your garment. You will find it in store and on our website by entering the reference 8817233.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch so the tear doesn’t get any bigger or synthetic fibres escape. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some Decathlon workshops offer an in-store repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.
Product testing
In November 2017, 6 backpackers (4 men and 2 women) with part of the Forclaz design team tested this padded jacket for four days in the Southern French Alps.We were then able to make the final modifications and validate it for use for backpacking in the mountains.
Storage instructions
To keep the wadding inflated, we recommend you store your padded jacket on a hanger and not folded up in its pocket!
