Excellent as a travel backpack with organizers where you can store your stuff in an "organized" and stable way. The containment nets make sure you can contain everything and the various sizes of the compartments divide what you want to carry in the right way, always knowing where to find what you put in the backpack without. Excellent book opening. But let's get to the 2 substantial flaws: 1) the waist belt for the lumbar support of the backpack, sewn to the backpack itself. I would have preferred it to be removable, fixed with Velcro and, if necessary, to be removed to have a more compact backpack with fewer fluttering appendages. I think it could be unstitched and fixed by a good tailor but the expense would be high and it would not be worth it. 2) lack of a compartment with zip pockets to store cables, glasses, cell phone or power bank and other small accessories useful for a trip, an accessibike compartment via a zip through which to access a container of smaller but useful objects quickly, when you are in the waiting room at the airport for example and you are looking for a cable or glasses. Last but not least, I would have also appreciated some "D" rings, some nylon loops through which to pass a carabiner to attach shoes or slippers or even a neck support when you sleep sitting down on the plane... In short, practical stuff that is always useful for those who really travel. Decathlon, I hope you will take the points exposed as suggestions to improve this excellent backpack and bring it to version 2.0

taken as luggage for a travelling trip it is very comfortable. it opens in two like a trolley and therefore is more suitable for city clothing without creasing it

I don't want to write negatively about Decathlon products. I bought this product with great expectations. I've been using it at least 3 days a week for 7 months. The compartments inside are mixed mesh compartments, preventing the 40 liter bag from being filled to its full capacity. You have to fill them all equally. If you leave one empty, the bag looks crooked. If you get annoyed by the zipper and open it, that doesn't work either. The outer fabric looks poor quality and worn out, it looks like it will get damaged immediately. As a punishment to the designer of this product, this bag should be used and carried for 1 year.

I was tired of carrying my big backpack and wanted to try to travel lighter (long trips, months). It worked perfectly. Comfortable and using it as carryon. Good option for anyone that wants to travel lighter. Like the material and the pocket for the laptop.
I wish it was a bag with an expandable capacity. It had difficulty closing when I put my winter clothes in it. Other than that, it can be used very easily in the summer.
A comfortable and very practical backpack for weekend trips. The number of pockets for storage and the organizer inside makes it better organized. And a beautiful color :)

How to adjust your backpack?
Begin by adjusting the lumbar belt. The bag's weight should sit mainly on your hips. Then tighten the shoulder straps to bring the bag's weight towards your back. Attach and tighten the chest strap then tighten the smaller straps above the shoulders so that the back sits perfectly on your back.
Protect your bag in the rain
The backpack has a rain cover to protect the contents of your bag when it rains.
How to maintain your travel 500 backpack
- Empty the bag completely- Remove the foam and frames from your backpack if possible and if you are sure you are able to put them back again afterwards- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust from the bag and the zips- Put the bag in a bath, shower or a wash basin- Use a stiff-bristle brush or a sponge if you have a small backpack- Wash the bag with soapy water and scrub any stains.
