Product Customer Reviews
Happy with purchase, great warmth for price, decathlon resolve any issue if found. Great
Warmer than you think, it’s great!!
Excellent coat, kept me warm in -6 temperatures with a fleece. Light and compact so can easily be packed away into rucksacks when too warm. deep pockets which is great when worn for casual use. I would buy this over higher cost products in the market.
Perfect lightweight jacket! The colour it's really nice. It's not a waterproof jacket, perfect to keep you warm but not dry!
Good
A really nice jacket, but it is so hard dry after washing. I tried many techniques. But the sections with down are so small and it's exhausting to re-puff the jacket.
Good jacket
This jacket folds down really small (into it's own pocket) and is ridiculously lightweight so carrying it around when not in use is not a problem. I've been wearing it with a couple of layers underneath during the British winter in temperatures roughly between -5 degrees Centigrade to 5 degrees centigrade and find it to be warm enough. I imagine with only a light layer underneath it will also prove to be useful for much of the year. It is water repellent and so far has kept me dry except in one horrendous torrential downpour I got caught in for about 30 minutes where water had got through in a couple of areas around the upper arm seams and one of the pockets I had left unzipped. Given the excellent price of this jacket I have been very satisfied with it's performance so far.
My wife is a chilly willy and she loves her new jacket, as normal you need to size up, other than that it’s fantastic.
Just what I was looking for, something very lightweight but warm. On mild days it’s fine on its own but on chilly days better with a fleece or wooly jumper. Can be rolled up and and packed away within its own pocket, so very handy for travelling or hiking
Lightweight but warm.
This is a warm and comfy jacket, great for dog walking in Scotland. Just wish there was a slightly longer version, now that would be perfect!
This jacket is lightweight but warm. Probably the best I've ever had.
I have worn this jacket in temperatures from -9°c (feels like -13°c) to 5°c. The recent cold snap of -9°c I wore a wedze long sleeve baselayer under the jacket and no midlayer at all, I am snug as a bug!! I can't recommend this highly enough, it is breathable but windproof and water repellent. The only bad point is the lack of cinch cord on the hood, it is a big problem when windy. Shocking that decathlon developers missed such an important feature. Maybe the next version will have it? Despite that problem I still love it.
Not warm enough Enron at 10c, not included any small bag to compact it. Not easy to store

Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide ; Filling: 100.0% Polyester ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyamide
How warm is this padded jacket?
This down jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F (-5°C), during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is 41°F (5°C) in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
Inflating power of down/feather filling
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°C, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. We even have patches you can purchase on our website!

Product testing
All our down jackets are laboratory tested in 3.1 mph winds and worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved T-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, so that you can make the choice that best suits your use.
