They are suitable for outdoor use. Light rain or dew are no problem either.
Nice pants with excellent fit even for pear-shaped bodies. Light and comfortable, how not to feel it. Tested during autumn treks at high altitude with the first cold weather.

Very nice trousers, comfortable and above all durable. My husband also has shorts from this series and they work great.
This model of pants is perfect for summer. For the fall and winter season, you will have to go for a more suitable model unless you choose like me to wear leggings or tights but the comfort is not sincerely there. With the experience of wearing these pants in the winter season, it is better to go for pants suitable for this season. As for the solidity, be careful of the seams on the top of the thighs which are not very solid or ?? (finishing problems: mystery) in any case, you will have to take out the thread and needle to reinforce this surface. For the size, I find that it is slightly small. I hope that for the next season, the design will be revised to be wider at the thighs and hips. Nevertheless, for this year 2024/2025, this article does the job !!

Trousers designed with 2 different components: - a durable fabric (207 g/m2) on the areas that need protection from abrasion (seat, bottom of the leg at the front). This fabric is also stretchy, enabling great freedom of movement. It has a water repellent treatment.- a light and breathable fabric (150 g/m2) on the rest of the trousers.
What is the water repellent feature of the component?
These trousers have water-repellent zones (lower leg and seat) that prevent water from getting inside the fabric. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF.The water repellent property prevents the trousers from getting wet too fast and slows down the water ingress but will not keep you dry under steady rain. To restore the water repellent property, put the trousers in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 min.Alternatively, we recommend you wear waterproof over trousers, ref. 8504646.

These trousers have been tested and validated in the field in real conditions. They were worn for 5 weeks by several people who undertook the Grande Traversée des Alpes (GTA) in late spring 2017.The V2 (version 2) of the MT500 trousers, which includes the improvements made on the product, was tested during the summer of 2020 in the Northern Alps. These tests were used to validate the MT500 trousers in real-life use.
