The capacity of the backpack is very good and it is very comfortable to wear. However, the sternum strap has popped off within a month of purchasing it, and it seems impossible to fix it back on. This has been disappointing because I can’t wear it without the sternum strap (I have small shoulders).

After reading the reviews on Which we decided that this backpack is a great for travelling and hiking. Very comfortable loads of useful pockets especially for your sunglasses or water bottle . Great product for good price.
The bag I got is different from what was advertised on the product page. They seem to change the design, missing some features like the zipper pocket in the organization pocket, no cable pass through, no more hidden pocket at the side and the side mesh sleeve inside the main compartment is not there too. I think the manufacturing has changed and so has the design . I have tried to submit my review many times to provide customers an honest review of the design differences, but Dechalon keeps rejecting my reviews.
We have a few different sizes of these bags for different members of the family. They are perfect for all our different needs, travelling, school, work etc. We especially like the bottle pocket on the side as it goes all the way up and hold bottles tight. With every other bag we've had, our bottles fling out of those halfway up pockets when the elastic starts to loosen or we have a particularly tall bottle. It is a terrible shame that they have discontinued these bags as I've seen no other that offers all this bag does. Please bring them back Decathlon!

There are a 2 compartment and a charging cable hole that's missing from the retail piece of the backpack as compared to the one in the visuals. The first compartment thats missing is the side mesh pocket in the main compartment of the backpack where you put your powerbank and string the USB cable throught the cable hole (also missing). The second compartment that's missing is a zipped pocket hidden within 1 side of the water bottle compartment. It's definitely not like it will make a huge difference to how I use my backpack but It will definitely help to have those compartments/features so as to make my life abit easier. Hope you guys can do a better quality check before retailing it.

Bought this as I wanted something that would carry a laptop and some stuff for an overnight trip. Enough compartments and enough protection for the laptop. I’ve not put a lot of weight in this yet, but I’m not convinced it will take to much weight either.
Very very happy with this bag pack. Bought for multiple uses, mainly short holidays and also to take to the office. Fantastic for both - plenty of sensibly sized compartments. Perfect spaces for laptops, documents, sunglasses, water bottles. When packed with clothes it fills out to a sensible square shape and the main compartment opening is like a suitcase lid when the backpack is laying flat. I was able to squeeze 7 days worth of clothes in to this for a holiday with some smart packing.
Great back pack took it on holiday to Tenerife. I got trainers, jeans & t shirt in main pocket and loads of other pockets to use.
Only just purchased. Material does not seem as strong as earlier 20l and 30l models I use often. But value the brand so expect not to be disappointed.
Purchased to carry camera equipment as carry on for day flight. Not used for that yet but really like the fabric bottle holders on the sides, much more secure. Lots of useful pockets and it's lightweight, useful for flight weight limit.

The components of the bag are water-repellent so that you can temporarily continue walking/hiking in light rain. Caution: this backpack is not watertight/waterproof and it does not have a rain cover. If you want to continue walking/hiking in the rain and protect your belongings, we recommend the following model: “20 to 40 L rain cover”, which can be viewed on our website, item reference 8734213.
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: we fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.The capacity of the main volume of this bag is 32L. We also measured the volume with the 2 exterior side water bottle pockets, whereby its total capacity increases to 35L.
Tested for optimal durability
To guarantee the durability of the bag, laboratory tests are conducted on the components and assemblies to replicate the ageing of the backpack.For example, for a fabric, we test the resistance to abrasion and tearing, the colour fastness when exposed to UV light and washing, and the waterproofing. We use these tests to guarantee the bags for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase on the receipt.
How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps, shoulder straps, waist belt and chest belt2 - Put the bag on3 - Buckle the chest strap and adjust its height and width4 - Tighten the shoulder straps (from top to bottom)5 - Buckle and adjust the waist belt6 - Adjust it to your likingIt's all good!
How to fill your backpack?
Place the heavy items, e.g. laptop, picnic, etc., in the bottom and in the spaces provided. Pack your clothes around these items. Put the small belongings that you will use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc.) in the pockets. Put the water bottle(s) in the outer pockets on the sides that are made for this purpose.

We test them in the field with other hikers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. This backpack has been tested and improved by hikers in different climatic conditions and different environments.
