Comfortable and easy access compartment

I used this bag for a 3 week trip in Vietnam and it was super comfortable, with easily adjustable and padded straps. The zip to access the main compartment was excellent and allowed me to see all my stuff, without having to unpack it all from the top-down.

Great backpack! Comfortable and durable

Took this on a five day hike and was perfect! I’m 6ft6 and this fit really well and was super comfortable. Easy to back and kept everything dry in the rain

I bought the Trek 100 prior to a trek recently. The back did its job well. The bag is comfortable to carry, the loops for carrying stability work well. Accessing the content within the bag was easy. I carried my items within the half moon bags which accommodated well within the Trek 100. The only part I found inconvenient was accessing the bottle within the bottle holder. I would have also like the bag to have a few more compartments. Overall Trek 100 is a fantastic value for money.

Disappointing Quality - Zipper Broke After Min Use

Our experience with this backpack was disappointing. After just three uses, the zipper broke, rendering the backpack useless during a crucial outdoor expedition. Thank that the DofE organization had an spare one to complete the Silver Practice. The design, featuring a large zipper from top to bottom, seemed practical at first, but the poor quality of the zipper made it unreliable. I cannot recommend this backpack for outdoor hikes or expeditions due to its unreliable design and subpar zipper quality. The rest of the backpack looked sturdy but now its useless.

Great bag, great features, just one thing...

The self adjusting easy fit system is intuitive and, well, easy to get the perfect fit each time. The full length zip is convenient when at camp and it's too dark to dig around in the depths to find what you need. One thing that isn't ever mentioned is that the separator between bottom and top compartments is handily fitted with toggles giving you the option of two compartments or one big one. The rain cover is a nice addition if a bit heavy/bulky; it's big for the bag, like it's a one-size-fits-all affair. The one thing that irks me is the asymmetry of the external features. There's one set of trekking pole loops on the right, which is fine. Also on the right is a forward facing bottle holder, which I'm also ok with, but it does have a strange elasticated opening that takes some practice with one hand. A long expanding, zipped side pocket on the left is useful, but because it's only on one side, it gives the bag an unsightly, off-centre bulge when full. The expanding sleeve pocket on the right is very useful for quick access things, but rather than one (pocket) or the other (sleeve), it would have been more versatile with both a zipped pocket and a sleeve on each side. The one thing missing, which makes the least amount of sense, is not having a zipped hip pocket on the left like on the right. The left side hip belt is just a bit empty and non-functional. I think there might be an attachable pocket available, but if there isn't, there should be.

Backpack

Simply the best and affordable

Extremely pleased.

I’ve had this rucksack for over a year, and have used it multiple times (including a 3 day coast hike). I can’t praise this highly enough. I was a bit concerned about the central zip, but this is a great, useful design. Both my wife and I use it, so the quick adjustment is perfect. There’s loops on the bottom for attaching extras (such as a tent) with additional straps (which I brought from Decathlon). Overall a very versatile, comfortable pack.

Good functional rucksack

Took this for an overnight hike. The easy fit system seems good for initial adjustment however this is one of the most awkward bags to put onto your back after breaks and such. I’ve never had this problem with other rucksacks however this one rubs badly where my armpit and chest meet, no matter how much I played with the adjustments. I use trekking poles so maybe this bag hasn’t been designed with the arm movement in mind… Other bad point, I don’t trust water bladders kept inside with your dry gear so I rely on water bottles. you have an exterior pocket on the right ideal for a 1.5L/2L water bottle; also on the RH is the water bottle pocket at the waist, which was functional. However with your water stock full, this results in a very RH heavy bag, I think I will need to find a different one on my next trip.

Amazing

This is the first major bit of kit i bought from decathlon and what a purchase!! Quality TOGR did a review on the 70ltr variant. This has made me consider using more forclaz equipment that i purchased my new cook system from them!

Backpack Review

This is no doubt a quality and functional rucksack that can challenge many top end rucksacks, the only issue I have is getting the rucksack on my back is a little fussy and not as easy as other rucksacks I have that are twice the price, this by no means slights this rucksack, for the money I would always recommend this rucksack.

Great - no other words

Light and comfortable, the number of compartments is really tailored to the traveler, the straps are in the right place, the backpack is really amazing, I don't regret it for a moment!!!!

Used by my son for the Via degli Dei. Roomy, easy to handle, fits well on the back. The pockets are very useful and well designed.
