Product Customer Reviews
Perfect for my wife to carry supplies when we’re up the mountains
Well designed and made, robust, compact, comfortable. very good value.
Had to order this online so only tried at home. Great quality materials and loved the design, everything about it is very well thought out, but if you are a male over 6ft this may not be the one for you. For me it was hanging way too low and this makes it quite uncomfortable. Even for the large size I would say this would be best worn by someone up to 5ft9, regular torso. Returned and refunded without issues
I absolutely love this bag. There are plenty of pockets to organise all your belongings for a walk/hike. It is spacious with a built in waterproof cover, which comes in handy. It's easily adjustable to fit all. It's comfortable with support for back and hips. For the price this is a bargain.
This pack beats others that cost a lot more. This is my go-to backpack for general use, over my osprey, TNF and Lowe packs. I’ve used it doing the Cumbria way, mount Toubkal and loads of walks in the peaks and lakes. The only reason I choose one of the others is if the route is tech/mountaineering and need to take an ice axe. But this pack isn’t designed for that, so it’s unfair to compare. For the money, you can’t go wrong
I do a lot of hiking and this is just perfect. So many pockets, easy to carry. I love that it can be opened from the front

Just got back from hiking in Spain with the temperature at 28 degrees. My bag was packed full and it remained very comfortable on my back. Well priced and hard wearing
Having just completed Hadrians wall walk With this product I can certify that this is a suitable backpack for a multi hike . Tent was attached to the bottom straps underneath , pole hooks worked well, both top of the pack and waist band used For electrics and snacks . Sleep Matt strapped to the left side . Back stretch pockets suitable for two bottle of water and a poncho and right pocket worked for Spare gas bottle . Both stuff pockets good for waterproof trousers in one and coat in another . I never used the waterproof cover as I used my poncho .
Bought it for my first hiking trip Used it for day hikes and capacity is sufficient to contain all that I need. Especially love the side zip for easy access. The padded straps and the frame back mesh makes it comfortable all day too. I thought it's a great functional backpack for it's price and for entry hikers. I've got the "L" size and it fits ergonomically for my height (1.7m) Would recommend to try it on as it might seem 'too lengthy/long" for some.
Perfect
The backpack has one big minus - it's pockets for bottles. It is not suitable for people who walk with sticks. Make them vertical please.
This is a brilliant sac! I’ve had this for nearly a year and have used it about twice a week, usually fully loaded. I originally brought it as cheap sac that I could use and abuse and not worry if it got damaged as it was not expensive. I didn’t expect for it to last long and take so much wear. It has by far exceeded my expectations. It is well made, and after about a year of use, it only shows only a bit of discolouration, note that mine was a mustard colour, which they don’t do in this size anymore. Its design is great, with the front access zip for the main compartment, you can get to its contents easily and quickly. With the other pockets located on the belt and around the body of the sac you can put equipment that you need easy access to, whilst moving. It’s really comfortable even when fully loaded and after carrying it all day. Since I’ve brought it it’s been my go to sac for mountain walking. I would recommend this over and above more expensive makes.
Used for a week of mixed high fell and mountain walking

We take care over abrasion resistance to make your bag durable. The heavy clothing R&D department, a Quechua partner for the research and validation of its components and assemblies, performs tests (on components, seams and the finished product) simulating the ageing of backpacks. Their results allow us to guarantee the bags tested for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt.
Don't throw it, fix it!
Our products will join you on your mountain walks. As you progress, they age, and some parts can get worn or break. To make repairs easier, in the InchBag accessories / hiking trekkingInch, we sell tightening buckles and chest clips that are compatible with your bag. Don ftt throw away, repair !
What differences are there with the old mh500 bag?
The back of this new bag has been fully reworked for greater comfort: a tight net with frame gives you more space between your back and the bag to reduce the damp back effect. This net used for the back, called mesh, is also softer than previously. What's more, this new model comes in 2 sizes for small and large sizes. The 2 hip pockets are more spacious and stretchy and access to flask on the sides is easier.
Why 2 sizes?
During several field test sessions with hikers of different sizes, we noticed that between 20 and 40 litres, the difference in comfort was mainly linked to the back height of the bag: someone with a small frame feels better with a bag that doesn't have a very big back, and someone with a big frame with a larger back. We therefore offer all our models in 2 sizes to meet these requirements.
Hydration
This bag can hold 1 litre, 2 litre or 3 litre pockets. However, although the pocket is voluminous, it will take up place that could be used for storing other belongings. The side pockets are designed for flasks of maximum 1 litre.
Why are our rain covers orange?
This is a deliberate choice as we believe it's important to stay visible in the mountains, even in fog, in case of any problem. This orange colour has the advantage of being visible from a helicopter. It's also a visible colour on the road if you use your bag when cycling.
Hand luggage
When you are travelling by plane, the authorised hand luggage size is 55x35x25cm3 maximum (warning, this can vary depending on the airline). This bag can be used as hand luggage, so long as you don't load the top too much.
How to pack my backpack?
AT THE BOTTOM of the bag, pack your sleeping material, and heavy material nearer the back. Slide your water pocket into the compartment.AT THE TOP of the bag, store your waterproof jacket and fleece within arm’s reach. In the pockets, you can put your sun cream, maps, cap and sunglasses. Cereal bars or your mobile phone can be stored in the belt pockets for quick access. The straps under the bag can also be used to attach a compact tent.
How do i adjust my backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - As this bag is small in volume, put the belt around the waist and tighten it. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
