Product Customer Reviews
Superb bag that perfectly meets my practice both around the stadium and in the countryside. Several storage options, comfortable to wear...and more than sufficient capacity. Also respect for order times. Always pleasant welcome.
After many uses in nature or urban hiking for a day and a half day And week-long trips with the use of the bag as a backpack + camera here is my feedback. + SEPARABLE PHOTO COMPARTMENT, which protects the equipment well, a real plus when traveling to leave the equipment at the place of stay and have a large capacity bag for shopping for example. And on a daily basis to have ONE backpack that allows you to take the photo equipment in 2 zips or to have a bag for daily use. An optional smaller compartment that would accommodate just a camera and a lens to free up volume above would be really great. + RAIN PROTECTION AND RESISTANCE. The solid fabric that makes up the bag and the very easy-to-use rain cover that covers the bag well (an extra reflective strip would be great!) the closures are solid and reliable. + POCKETS. They are well thought out and the volumes are consistent ++ for the glasses pocket under the handle. On the flat front pocket that is intended to hold keys and wallet, I would have liked a flap that hides the closure more and makes it less visible / accessible to pickpockets. + COMFORT. The bag is comfortable, it can be forgotten and the load distribution is well done. + CARRYING. The straps on the bottom and side are practical for carrying jackets and other clothing or holding a tripod. But be careful with the aluminum hooks that can be annoying to use. + DESIGN. Sober, no fuss but not sad either, the mottled gray on the front gives it soul, we do not necessarily know that it is a camera bag apart from the discreet little shutter logo on the front, which is also reassuring in transport or in the car. Let's move on to the negative, nothing that makes me regret my purchase but rather points that bother me in MY use of this bag. - straps a little short, the pocket for phones or other small objects is very high when carried (almost on the shoulder) and which limits access - waist strap too thin and the pockets on it a little too far back for easy access. (not practical to put in or take out a lens cover quickly.) - side opening to take out the camera a little narrow on the insert bag for a full-frame body with a lens of more than 50mm it's tight! - I regret the absence of carrying straps on the front of the bag to hang a jacket or a tripod because those on the sides are quickly unusable with a water bottle and do not leave the possibility of taking a tripod AND a water bottle. In the end a very good bag, good volumes and easy and reliable use. If the option of a smaller photo compartment to modulate when traveling existed and the ergonomics of the shoulder straps and the waist strap were revised, we would get very close to the perfect bag for daily use.
bought for landscape photo hike + macro in order to be able to take camel bag + snack with photo equipment suits me well
Great photo backpack for this price. It can fit a lot of stuff in there.
I would like to leave a constructive review, aimed at future improvements of the product, because it is a product that in my opinion has great potential ... too bad that, in the design phase, they fell for trivial details that make it uncomfortable to use. Let's start with the PROS: Basically the backpack is well organized internally, between pockets and compartments. There are different pockets, which never hurts. It is convenient to be able to remove the camera bag, perhaps to use it as a travel backpack, where at that point different clothes fit. The integrated backpack cover is excellent. CONS: - probably because of the content for which the backpack is designed (cameras and lenses are not notoriously light), even adjusting the shoulder straps well, the load of the backpack is not particularly well distributed, and it always seems like you are being dragged to fall backwards when fully loaded. - the material the laces are made of is the great drama of this product: whether we are talking about the side or bottom laces, whether we are talking about the lumbar belt, up to the shoulder straps, the material they are made of is not very resistant and not capable of friction: in short, as complained by other users, it slips on itself, ruining all the adjustments. Have you tightened the shoulder straps to have a snug backpack, perhaps for a trek? After 2 minutes you will have to do it all again. The same can be said for the abdominal adjustment, even if less influential. - even the side and rear hooks, made by interlocking rather than snapping, are sometimes not very safe. - the repositionable internal divider could be stopped laterally with zips, rather than with Velcro: in fact, when there is the container for the camera underneath, it is this that holds it in place, but when you have to remove it to replace it with something less filling, it tends to give way. Furthermore, by doing this, the Velcro ruins the entire inside of the backpack.
Great bag, well designed!! I recommend
I use it for everyday life and, as a computer scientist, I must admit that it is very practical.
The best backpack for globetrotting reporters. The compartments can be adapted thanks to the many elements provided. Access from the side without having to open the bag to access the camera is great!
I am very satisfied with the product, it is practical, has many storage options, the camera and its accessories can comfortably fit in the small bottom bag, but can be removed if not needed.
I bought this item thinking that the quality would be there but unfortunately: the protective foams are too soft, the bag deforms under the weight, the straps loosen. Conclusion, you quickly get back pain ... I think it is only designed for one body and a maximum of two lenses.
I recommend 100%
It is a plane-sized bag, but I understand it cannot be made bigger. I don't have many camera equipment, so it is very convenient to carry an extra coat and a bottle of water when traveling. There are many thieves in Europe, and the zipper is easy to open, so I hope it can be made more secure.
This backpack is too heavy to be carried in the mountains or on a hike. It is not comfortable.
Former professional photographer and sports journalist, I bought this bag to replace my Lovepro Primus AW dating from 2010 and which, after many years of good and loyal service, began to show signs of weakness. After a little over a year of using this EXPLORER 900 FOCUS, what stands out as the main problem is its lack of rigidity in the photo compartment, so much so that it sometimes happened that the bag, lightly loaded with equipment, collapsed on itself as soon as you put it down. The whole thing would therefore deserve more rigidity, including the separation foams. More adherent velcro would also be better. Also, the side pocket, due to the design of the small removable case, makes removing a camera body difficult. Most of the time, I was forced to stop to put the bag down in order to remove a camera body more easily. It's a shame... Concerning carrying, however, the bag is really comfortable, even when loaded. The large number of pockets allows you to slip in a lot of extra bits and pieces. Perhaps a tripod attachment system on the back of the bag would have been a good idea in order to dedicate the side pocket exclusively to a water bottle. In terms of finishing, we are still on a nice product, even if, for mine in any case, defects such as straps sewn crooked or crossed spoil the pleasure a little. If you subsequently want advice or an opinion, do not hesitate, it will be with pleasure if it can allow future buyers to have an even more accomplished product.
The most practical backpack I've had so far. And it looks very aesthetic
