Questions & Answers

Question:

How’s it compared to “shake dry “ from Gorewear? Quality of zipper? Are the wrist bands Velcro? Does it have pockets in back? Will it fit in a jersey pocket? Thanks

Answer:

It is a lightweigh, wind and water resisitant garment. Very good quality, no velocro on the wrist. 1 pocket in the back, and will easily fit in a jersey pocket.

Great rain jacket, packs up small (although the stuff pocket takes some practice to get it in) into your jersey pocket and does not give the "boil in a bag" effect of some others. have used in pretty heavy rain and no leakage. also serves as an emergency jacket should the temp drop. Fot is pretty snug but true to size and doesn't flap around

Rain jacket

I had been looking for a lightweight jacket everywhere, Decathlon jacket fits the bill perfectly. Light and folds up to easily fit in any pocket. Thanks again Decathlon

Light comfortable

Bought for an emergency during a cycling holiday in Asturias, where it can be very rainy. Kept me dry, while being very comfortable. I have discarded my previous rain jacket in favour of this one.

Not waterproof and hard to fit in pocket

Whilst lightweight and well designed, it’s not waterproof at all. Even a light shower and my arms were socked. It’s an obsolete nightmare trying to fit in the pocket and the drawstring broke making it even harder.

Doesn't fit in the pocket!

I didn't actually purchase this jacket - I went to the store with the intention of buying one but spent nearly half an hour trying to get it to fit inside the pocket. The main thing I was looking for was a jacket that I could pack away, for this reason I didn't buy it. Fit was ok, seems like good quality and lightweight but because I couldn't pack it away quickly I decided against it.

Rain jacket

Excellent product that can simply prove Quality and Value for money. For short review please visit my YouTube channel KIMO the Cyclist .

Dont expect it to be a proper rain proof

Only works in an occasional quick light shower. In the rain.. forget it! But does keep out cool winds etc. Worth having for most riding. I was soaked on my return from a ride that got unexpectedly wetter!

Great jacket with minor iasues.

Sleeves on the XL are very tight even with stretch thin arm warmers are the max i can manage. The stow pocket is too small for the XL jacket fits about 2/3 of the jacket. Finally no hanging loop on an ultra light jacket seems like a step too far as the fabric seems a little thin to hang in a hook. Performance seems great, cost is fantastic and lots of high vis highlights not the usual token high vis logo that other brands limit themselves to.

Very disappointed that it only comes in black.

Why do this top only come in black? Once again black is a poor colour for night vision.

Sizing is Crazy is many respects

Haven't warn this jacket yet. I went in store to buy this and started with L, my usual size, then went up until I found one that fit. 2XL is where I ended up. I'm L in every other bit of cycling clothing I own. The other sizing issue is the pocket that turns inside out to pack it away..... I think this was created by someone late on a Friday, it works so far as you can stuff the jacket into it, but I wouldn't say it fits or its fit for purpose. If I ever have to get this jacket out on a ride it certainly won't be getting packed away until I'm at home and have time.

Think I got sent a kids size

Make sure you size up at least two sizes. Way too small.

Great Jacket Very Small Made

I am normally a medium and needed XL in this.

All qualities of binbag except fit

This jacket is as waterproof and as breathable as your binbag or a plastic bag from a grocery shop. It doesn't let rain in but you'll boil in your own sweat unless you do an easiest leisure ride. I like the fit (I'm 181cm and 71kg, slim fit, size M fits well) and that you can pack it into a jersey pocket but it's useless for club rides or anything more serious. Boiling in your own sweat is an awful feeling.

Does the job

Does the job of keeping warm and the rain out! Fits in a back pocket easily.

Composition

Membrane: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide

Product waterproofing

Waterproofing is a fabric's ability to prevent rain water from passing through. A fabric's waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to the pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (test based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Material with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm resists the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour rain shower). Our Ultralight jacket is waterproof up to 2000 mm.

Breathability

To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance (test based on standard ISO 11092). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric will let water vapor produced by the body escape, and therefore the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable materialThe RET of our Ultralight showerproof jacket is 6.

Product tests

Our team of product designers is based at the B'Twin Village in Lille (France). All year round, we conceive and develop new products that are easy to use, look great, and have the technical features needed for your cycling experiences. They are then mercilessly put to the test by users in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting our products to real-world conditions, such as the ones you will experience on your bike, can we continuously improve them.

Care tips

Hand wash only. Turn the article inside out. Use a minimal amount of laundry detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Line dry in a warm, ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
