Product Customer Reviews
A top-notch performance-comfort combo. Used for a BRM 200, it was a breeze. The best bike I've ever owned.
Hello, bike purchased in May 2024 after derailing at the front (derailleur adjustment ok), the chain gets stuck under the screw of the small chainring and "sawed" the bottom bracket and twisted the derailleur hanger. This is a known problem at Van Rysel (several testimonies) but no warranty or commercial gesture, the only solution offered is to buy a new frame and change it. For a bike costing more than €4000 I am very surprised.
I switched to it from an older Trek, also carbon, but even a hobby rider like me can tell the difference. The bike is great. I've ridden over 3000 km on the bike, and with maintenance it's still just as functional. Especially every time you come to it, it's a joy :)
A light, maneuverable and aero bike. I was skeptical at first about hookless wheels, in fact, they are pretty good. The groupset is good, the only downside is that I am not a fan of the quarq power meter on the left crank. At first it worked well, over time, I noticed connectivity issues. I would have liked a crankset without sensors. The quarq sensors are still better than the Shimano sensors, so it is not a dealbreaker. I recommend going tubeless, because even with tubes, you need tubeless compatible hookless tires, they are very hard to mount, and you have to slam them even with tubes, which is very hard to do with a hand pump outside. Tubeless is much better. I am a fan of the SRAM drivetrain, a 10-36 rear and 48-35 front, makes this bike very versatile. The SRAM disc brakes are good, and reassuring on the descents. At this price (in July 2024) I have not found a bike with similar specs (generally a bike at this price with the same groupset is equipped with a pair of low-end wheels).
The bike has a high value compared to other bikes in this segment, less than 1000 euros with this equipment was right.
Change of bike for me after more than a year on the first generation of RCR 105 CF 2019 in skates. After more than 3 months of use, the bike is great. It reacts directly to each pedal stroke, very dynamic and very maneuverable even in wind. It is very comfortable with the Zipp wheels and the 28 Tubeless tires. The position allows for comfort on long rides and very aero on races or training. The SRAM Rival transmission works perfectly. The braking lacks a little power but with time riding you quickly get used to it. Following a postural study, I still had to change the size of the stem with an 80 on a size M model (I am 1m79). I recommend it 100% for its versatility. Thanks to Thomas from Decathlon Odysseum for his advice and professionalism on the preparation and delivery of my bike. He was very attentive to my needs during the purchase and I thank him for directing me to this model which suits me perfectly.
The perfect bike for competitions, only it is a pity that you can not choose certain things like width of the handlebar, length of stem, ... Which is why I had to convert the bike myself. Beautiful bike and price quality absolutely top definitely recommended.
I am very satisfied with my purchase because the value for money is just incredible. And on top of that, it is beautiful. The only problem encountered: the power sensor battery that has to be changed every month....
I finally got it, it's my first road bike and it's a racing bike, a real treat, nothing to do with my gravel. The only problem (but I'm a novice on the road) is the wind resistance, I have to get used to the side wind :) In any case I can't wait for spring and to go on long rides.
No comment really
Masterclass!!!
Really satisfied with this bike. Thanks to Decathlon Wagram for the assembly and delivery of the bike :) (thanks to Guillaume for the final adjustments). After 1000km with it, still just as satisfied. From the first pedal strokes you can feel that the bike wants to go fast. Despite the aero side, it holds up pretty well in the mountains. The Zipp 303 are quite pleasant to ride and versatile. However, I changed the stem and saddle to adapt to my posture.
Bike purchased at Decathlon Caen-Rots, following the comments read before purchase, the front derailleur settings were checked at the workshop (thanks to them) the Sram gears shift with precision, a real treat. The ergonomics, the choice of colors, the Zipp wheels, the complete group, everything is perfect. Be careful, very rigid bike especially in XS which must be tamed at the beginning especially if you ride in a group, but you immediately feel that it is made to go fast.
Hello, good bike overall, nice look, good performance, good value for money, only downside is the Decathlon 145 saddle is very uncomfortable, does not correspond to the model shown in the photo, request for a replacement from the after-sales service, negative response (despite price 4200 euros and 5th bike of this brand)
I had compared a lot of bikes before making my purchase, I was very excited to get my hands on this RCR, but my experience with it is very disappointing. In less than 4 months: the front derailleur got stuck (electronic problem impossible to solve yourself), the chain broke 2 times (after being replaced identically), and a bad adjustment of the derailleur (by the store) damaged the frame.

The rcr range
The RCR range is a real treat for cyclists who want a complete bike with no compromises. For this bike, performance was our priority. The cross-sections of every tube have been calculated to be as efficient as possible in the main wind angles (-15°/+15°).This bike falls within the Inchlightweight aero Inch category of bikes, offering the perfect balance between weight, rigidity and aerodynamics, resulting in an exceptional bike.If you want a bike designed to win races, look no further than the RCR
What's the difference between the rcr and the rcr pro
What makes a carbon frame is its geometry, its shapes and its layup. The layup is how the carbon fibres are assembled. Not all fibres have the same properties. On the frame of the RCR, we only use high-modulus fibres. On the RCR PRO, we've chosen exceptional fibres that make the bike stiffer in the areas that are put under the most stress and that slightly reduce the weight. The RCR PRO is ready to compete at the highest level.
A closer look at the frame
The RCR's frame weighs 830 g (painted) in size M The RCR Pro's frame weighs 790 g (painted) in size M The RCR's fork weighs 380 g (painted) in size MThe frame can take tyres up to 33 mm wide. There may be slight variations in weight depending on the colour (+/- 50 g).

A power meter is a must for cyclists who want to plan their training to help them improve.Total drive train weight: 3045 g with power meterThe electronic groupset has two separate batteries (one for each derailleur). You can use the SRAM app to set up your bike and view data from your rides.

Drive train maintenance
Please note that it is important to regularly service your drive train, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads).Regular maintenance will help your drive train to last for longer. You should regularly check your chain with our chain wear indicator, which is available on our website.
Lifespan of a drive train
When buying a bike, it's important to take into account the cost of servicing it, especially as regards the drive train. The amounts below are averages and are given so that you have a general idea of what to expect. They will of course vary depending on the care you take of your drive train. The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5000 km.The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km.A poorly maintained chain can jump, which can damage your bike's frame.
Disc brakes
SRAM Rival disc brakes with 160 mm discs at the front and 140 mm at the back. The SRAM Rival brakes are hydraulic. This gives you progressive, more powerful braking than with cable-actuated hydraulic brakes. You will need to bed these brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Make sure to bed in both brakes.Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.
